Today’s Promise

Romans 8:26

In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.

Sometimes you are just not sure what or how you should pray. Have you ever found yourself feeling as though you should pray, but not knowing how to pray? Maybe you’re not sure what God’s will is, or what your next step should be. Perhaps you are in such turmoil that the only prayer you can muster is “Jesus help me.”

Have you ever entered into prayer with a loss of words? Maybe you wondered if you are using the right words, or praying the right way.

I have great news for you. When you don’t know how to pray, or you don’t feel like you are praying correctly, God says, the Holy Spirit prays for you.

In your weakest times, when you just don’t know how to pray, the Holy Spirit, who knows your heart, takes your heart cry and translates it to the Father.

This promise says the Spirit “intercedes” for us. That word means to come to the rescue or to stand between two parties and bring them together. The Holy Spirit stands between you and God. He takes your intent and brings it to the Father in ways we can never understand.

When you don’t know what to pray, or you don’t know how to pray, or just can’t get the words out, you have the confidence that the Holy Spirit is praying on your behalf. He is taking the cry of your heart and bringing it to God the Father.

Read that promise one more time.

In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. – Romans 8:26

Confess this with me

When I don’t know how to pray,
God prays for me.
When I don’t know what to pray,
God prayers for me.
In my weakest moments,
The Holy Spirit is praying for me.
When all I can do is cry out to God,
The Holy Spirit knows my heart,
And brings my prayer to the Father.
Today, the Holy Spirit is helping me pray.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

    Good morning!
Thank you so very much for this timely word of encouragement to us on knowing that the Holy Spirit is praying for us when we don’t know what or how to pray. It was a great reminder and actually a new thought that, even when I am thinking of God, acknowledging in my heart that I need to come to Him, as His child, He (theHoly Spirit) begins to express my needs to my Father in the way that is best. What a relief! What safety! What an amazing God we serve!

Thank you, National Prayer Team, for all of your prayers lifted on our behalves. God will bless you richly for your ministry. I praise the Lord Jesus for your faithfulness!

    Bright blessings to you,
    Cindy

I have been dealing with cancer now for 2 years. First liver then lung, now brain add lung at the same time. My heart goes out to your wife. I am being treated at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. A very good organization.

My prayer for you and your wife is that you will embrace what God is trying to do for you in this trial. In trying to see how all this fits, I am more sure now than ever that all things work for good to those who are in Christ. I know it may serm trite to quote a scripture like that to someone who is suffering but I have truly been blessed throught this ordeal all credit to our Father who loves us. I lift you up for God’s healing. In Jesus’ name we pray.

To the mother and her son with vertigo it will pass. I had a short bout with it a number of years ago and it was scary; but be of good cheer. I had a short stay in the hospital and many of the medical staff worked there told me that they had experienced vertigo too. I was so encouraged. And I want you to believe and be encouraged too. I had not had a serous bout with vertigo since and that wa about 10 years ago??
