Today’s Promise
Isaiah 43:10
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
God never promises isolation from problems or loss. In fact, this verse begins with “when you pass…” God says there are going to be times when you face the fire and face flood.
This promise assumes there will be times when you pass through times of trial.
The water represents being overwhelmed. All of us have passed through times when we felt like we are drowning in the details and pressures of life.
God made a way for the children of Israel to pass through the Jordon River when it was a flood stage.
The fire represents destruction. There will be times when we suffer loss. It may be in a relationship, it may be financial or a thousand other things, but what once was is no more.
God was with three young men who refused to bow and worship a pagan king. As they stood in the fiery furnace, God was there in the fire with them.
God rarely removes the problems of life, He does, however, promise that amid the fire and through the flood, He will be with you. The reoccurring theme throughout the Bible is the promise that God is with you.
It doesn’t matter if you are facing the fire or the flood today, God is with you. He will take you through the flood and the fire, and you will not drown or be burned.
Let’s look at that promise one more time.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. – Isaiah 43:2
Confess this with me
When I face the fire
God is with me
When I face the flood
He is with me.
When I suffer loss or feel overwhelmed
I know that my God is with me.
He is protecting, guiding and comforting me
Today, he will take me through the flood and through the fire.

Hallelujah Glory to God. He said in His word, that He will never leave me not forsake me. It doesn’t matter what storms and fire comes my way, I know that Jesus is right here with me, in Jesus name. I love You JESUS
Isn’t great to know that no matter what the situation, God is right there with me!
I know that no matter what I’m facing God is with me and I don’t have to face it alone because he said he would never leave or forsake me. Praise God for all his promises and for always being there for all of us
