Today’s Promise

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Right before this verse, Jesus commands us not to worry about what we will eat, wear, or drink, we get so focused on these other things that we can make them the priority of life.

Jesus turned our thinking upside down when He promised that everything will be given to us when we make the kingdom of God our priority. We think if I can get everything together, then I can find fulfillment. Jesus says, find and make the Kingdom of God the number one thing in your life and everything else will take care of itself.

In Daniel Kolenda’s book, “Live Before You Die”, Daniel put some practical advise to this promise.

  • If you want to know what job God has for you, seek His kingdom and you’ll find your occupation!
  • If you want to know whom you should marry – seek His kingdom, and you’ll find your spouse!
  • If you want to know where you should go to college – seek his Kingdom and you’ll land in the right school!
  • If you want to know where you should live – seek His kingdom, and He’ll lead you to the right geographical location!

Can it really be that simple? Could this one promise really be the secret to finding out God’s will? My friend, this is not my words. These are not the words of a philosopher or a preacher. These are the words of the Son of God Himself; “But seek first the kingdom of God and righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

When my relationship with Christ is the priority, when I submit myself to His will and leadership, all the other area of life come together. As I learn to live and follow the kingdom of God, I find everything else is added to me.

Let’s look at that promise one more time.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.Matthew 6:33

Confess this with me.

As I seek the kingdom of God first
Everything else is added to me.
As I make following Christ my priority
All the other things I have been seeking fall into place.
Today I make the kingdom of God my focus
Today I make the kingdom of God my priority.
I look forward to all God brings into my life

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Are you able to include an option to loop the audio from current to oldest? I currently am able to listen to music while I work and have just been clicking on them throughout the day. I hate my life and would love to be able to repeat them automatically.

I am so sorry you are going through rough time. I am glad you are turning to the Lord and finding strength in His word. I don’t have that type of feature right now but will look into seeing what it would take to make that happen for you.

Seeking His Kingdom as my first priority is most important and true in my life. I have begun to commit to doing this God’s agenda before mine and He has proven to me His word is true. Many miraculous and amazing things have begun to take place in my life. My complete healing, perpetual increase in our finances, monies that have been owed to me from years ago has been given back to me, relationships that have been torn have been reconciled and much more.
I praise Jesus for coming into my life saving me and granting me abundant life?
