Today’s Promise
Great is He That is in Me
1 John 4:4
You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
Satan may be working in the world around you, but today’s promise reminds us that the Spirit in us is greater.
You may not see it or even notice it, but two kingdoms are operating all around you. These two kingdoms influence the destiny of nations and the hearts of men. These two kingdoms are the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness.
The Kingdom of God is focused on the redemption of men and women; to bring them back into an intimate fellowship with God. The Kingdom of darkness is focused on its deception, death, and destruction.
The Bible calls Satan the “Prince of this world.” Ever since the fall in the garden of Eden, Satan has been operating and ruling the nations of this world. False teaching and false prophets are all part of the Kingdom of darkness. Deception is the rule of trade in Satan’s kingdom. Every day people are led astray by these false teachers.
As a follower of Christ, you can stand strong against the deception and lies of Satan by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you.
Jesus overcame the prince of this world and the kingdom of darkness when He died on the cross and rose from the grave. He promised to send the Holy Spirit to indwell those who put their faith in Him.
The Holy Spirit who dwells in you is greater than the spirit of this world. The kingdom of darkness can never stand against the power of Christ dwelling in you. There is never a need to fear the work of the Devil or his legions because they have been defeated by the power of Christ in you.
The spirit of Christ in you is greater than the kingdom of darkness and the spirit of this world.
Review that verse one more time.

Make this confession with today.
The Spirit of Christ dwells in me.
I will not be fooled by the false prophets of the day.
I will not fall to the temptations Satan brings to my door.
The Holy Spirit in me is greater than the spirit of this world.
