This Week’s Scriptures

Philippians 4:13 | Psalm 139:7-10 | 1 John 5:14-15 | James 1:5 | Ezekiel 36:26-27

It’s been a great week on the Daily Promise. Saturday is review day. Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week., so let’s get started.

We began the week confessing how God strengthens you and how in Christ you can do all things.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13

On Tuesday we focused on how God’s presence is always with you.

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.Psalm 139:7-10

On Wednesday we confessed how God hears your prayers. Sometimes you may feel like your prayers are rising above the ceiling, but you have the promise that God always hears your prayer.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. – 1 John 5:14-15

On Thursday we claimed the promise that if we need wisdom, all we have to do is ask.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. – James 1:5

We closed out the week seeing how God has given us a new heart that is turned toward Him and empowered by the Holy Spirit. The promise is found in Ezekiel 36:26-27.

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. – Ezekiel 36:26-27

Confess this with me.

In Jesus Christ, I can do all things.
Whatever comes into my life, I can overcome it through the power of Christ in me.
Today, I walk in His power and strength.

No matter where I go, God is with me
When I feel I am all alone, God is still there.
Even when I don’t feel like He is near, He is upholding me.
God is with me no matter where I go.

God has invited me to come boldly into His presence
I can confidently bring my request to God
As I pray according to His will, I know He will answer.
I know that He will answer my prayer.

I have wisdom that comes only from God.
He gives me wisdom freely and generously when I ask.
When I need direction or clarity, I ask God for wisdom.
As I ask for wisdom, God always gives it to me.

In Jesus Christ, I have a new heart.
God fills my heart with the Holy Spirit
My new heart desires to walk in obedience to all God has for me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

1 John 5 14-15. That is one of my favorite scriptures. Thank you for reminding me of God’s promises. Sometimes we need the reminder to get us through. May God bless you!

Asking God for His wisdom is so important not only in the big things of life but for the small things as well. Clarity of His plan for us is so important. We don’t like going in the wrong direction, however, We’ve done it more times than we can count. Ugh! Thankful He never leaves us! He is always present and ready to help us get back on track. My man and I will have been married 42 years April 1st. To God be the glory for His mercy and grace over our lives, our children’s lives, and now our Grands! Yes, through Christ we’ve made it thus far. Giving Him all the praise and glory for all He has done and will continue to do!

Appreciate the Daily Promises! Thank you so much!
