Today’s Promise

Jesus Gives Me Peace

John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We begin the week talking about God’s peace.

Jesus promises you peace. Peace is not the absence of conflict, problems, or difficulties. Peace comes from living under the reign of Christ in your life. Peace comes from understanding that God is in control and that He cares for you.

Because Jesus overcame the world through His perfect life, He can offer you peace. His victory produced the supernatural peace that He offers you today.

Peace is the confident understanding that your loving heavenly Father is watching over you no matter what the situation is around you.

When you live in the peace of Christ, He gives you peace with your past, peace in your heart, and peace in the midst of the storm.

In this verse, Jesus has just finished teaching the disciples about using His name in prayer. When you ask in faith, in the name of Jesus God promises to answer your prayer.

Jesus never guaranteed a problem-free life. He promises that you will face tribulation and difficulties. However, He also promises that because He has overcome the world, His peace will rest on you.

You can have peace in this life because true peace is only found in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Look at this promise again.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. – John 16:33

Confess this after me.

Today, I have the peace of Christ.
Because He has overcome the world, He offers me peace
In the midst of my storm, Jesus gives me peace.
As I face problems and difficulties, Jesus gives me peace.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

You may be facing a week full of problems and difficulty. You may feel like you are in the midst of tribulation, but remember, you have the peace of Christ in you. You can face anything problems and difficulty because Christ in you has overcome the world.
