Today’s Promise

He Will Never Leave or Forsake Me

Hebrews 13:5

Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.

At one time or another, we have all had the painful experience of being forsaken.

Maybe it was someone you thought was your friend, only to find them saying hurtful things about you to others. Maybe it was a co-worker or business partner that stabbed you in the back. Perhaps it was a spouse who was unfaithful, or simply decided they wanted out your marriage. Whatever the situation when you are forsaken, it cuts to the very core of your being.

The emotional trauma of being forsaken can last a lifetime and make it difficult to trust others. If you are not careful, you create a wall around your heart where you let few people in.

God Will Never Forsake You

Though some may forsake or forget you, God has promised that he will never forget or turn His back on you. Though everyone else may turn on you, God will always be there for you.

God made this same promise to the great leaders of the Bible. He promised Moses, Joshua, David, and Solomon, just to name a few. These men did mighty things for God because they knew He would be with them.

But God also made the promise to a young prodigal who left his family and lived a life of sinful pleasure. God met this young man on the backside of a pig farm and reminded him of a father who would never forget or forsake him.

God has promised never to forsake you.

You may have been hurt in the past, but God will never leave you. You can do mighty things for the kingdom because God will be with you.

Even if you have slipped away from the Lord, He is willing and ready to welcome you back home. He has never forsaken you, even when you rebelled against Him.

If you are lonely today, run to the one who has never, and will never forget you. If you have been hurt by others, run to the God who has promised to always be with you.

Look at that promise again.

Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you. – Hebrews 13:5

Make this confession.

God will never leave me or forsake me.
God can use me because He is with me.
No matter what I do, God will never forsake me.
I am never alone because God is with me.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Oh yes for sometime now I have feeling like God is far from me. I was bitrate by a “convert” and I never believe that it happened to me. I felt like I am stupid even not sensitive to evil dowers.
I lately even feel like I have no direction, and whatever I am doing it feels like I am on wilderness. Because I am robed financially when I here the word be content, I ask myself, how do I be content while I cant be able to fulfil what I used to do before the enemy attach me, I feel like cringing again and really I am so tired to feel this way.

But thank you for the word of encouragement I real need it everyday. to God be the Glory.

I had a friend of mine who was going through some very difficult times and he told me that his prayers weren’t being answered and he couldn’t understand why. He told me that he felt that God had forsaken him.
I told him something that I learned a long time ago that everything happens for a reason even if we can’t figure it out. Then I also shared with him that the Bible says that God would never never never forsake us or leave us. It’s something that I’m reminded of when things aren’t going so well. So if I hear someone say God doesn’t answer prayer or God doesn’t care about me then I tell that person that God would never leave us or forsake us and that he said that in his word.
Whenever I’m going through a difficult time myself I remember and God shows me that he’s with me always and that he would never leave me nor forsake me! What a awesome promise that is.

Amen my husband left me again, i have lost count, been married for 7 years now, i have a boy and a girl, both kids leave with my parents because of my work, my husband has never been faithful to me or the marriage, in the 1st year of marriage i found out very bad things about my husband and along the way things got worse, to the point where he even beat me up and broke all the things in the house, it was bad, called the police, he went to jail for two days, i allowed him to get bail, and later withdraw the charges, took him back, but nothing has changed his behavior is still the same. I told him to leave and so he did, took all is things and went. I do feel lonely because he is the only reason i moved away from my family, am 1000km apart from my family. I really want to go back home, please pray for so i can get a transfer home.
