Today’s Promise

I Think on Good Things

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

How you think affects every area of your life.

If you allow negative thoughts to fill your mind, you become a negative person. If you fill your mind with positive thoughts, you become a positive person. This promise invites you to focus your mind on the good and positive things in life.

Proverbs 23:7 says you become what you think on. Paul encourages us to think about the positive.

Our world is filled with negative messages and media.

Every day you are bombarded with negativity. If you aren’t careful, just listening to or watching the news can convince you that the world is falling apart around you. So many people live in fear and worry because they focus their attention on the wrong things.

You have a choice on where you set your mind.

ou can set your mind on the negative or set it on the good things God has brought into your life. You can be anxious or turn everything over to the Lord. You can spend your time worrying or trusting that your Heavenly Father will take care of you.

Now, I’m not just talking about positive thinking.

I am talking about focusing on the Lord Jesus as the One who is true, honorable, just, pure, and lovely.

You can build your faith by setting your mind on the goodness of the Lord and His promises or weaken your faith by allowing fear, worry, and negative thinking to fill your mind.

God has empowered you today to be a positive influence in your family, your career, and the world around you. Be the positive influence that points people to the goodness of God.

Look at that promise again.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. – Philippians 4:8

Make this confession.

  • Today, I set my mind on the goodness of God.
  • I refuse to be negative, fearful, or worrisome.
  • I am a positive influence on the world around me.
  • The blessings of God are pouring over me today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

    I love this!

Satan loves to manipulate and deceive the mind. This brings me back to the Garden of Eden where Eve was talking to the serpent. Due to his cunning words she believed him and ate the fruit. Satan’s only purpose is to destroy the people of God by destroying their minds.

Since Jesus has won the victory, we are no longer to slave! We are no longer bound to the devil’s scheme and we dont need to listen to the lies. Christ have given us the power to overcome all obstacles, even our thoughts. When we continue to think about the goodness of God and all that He has done, we can be sure that God is protecting us and most of all Loving us.

Dont let the enemy conquer your mind, but let the word of God transform your mind.
