This Week’s Scriptures

1 Peter 5:4| Psalm 27:5 | James 4:8 | Matthew 5:14 | Mark 9:23

We began the week seeing that when Jesus returns we will receive an eternal crown that will not fade.

Here’s the promise.

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. – 1 Peter 5:4

Make this confession.

One day I will wear a crown of glory.
God will reward me for my service to Him and His body.
I am storing up my rewards in heaven.
When Jesus returns, I will receive my reward.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we saw how God is our hiding place. The promise is found in Psalm 27:5

For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. – Psalm 27:5

Confess this with me.

When troubles come, I know God will protect me.
He will hide me in His presence.
He will keep me from the enemy and provide for my every need.
When the world around me is sinking
God places me on His solid rock.
He is my hiding place.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that when we draw close to God, He draws close to us.

Here’s the promise.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. – James 4:8

Make this confession.

God is always ready and waiting to welcome me back into His presence.
I cannot be double-minded and draw close to God.
I can’t keep my sin and walk in His presence.
When I draw close to God, He draws close to me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday, we saw how Jesus is the light and how he calls us the light of the world.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. – Matthew 5:14

Here’s the confession.

In Jesus Christ, I am the light of the world.
I am a city set on a hill
I bring the kingdom of God into every situation of life.
I walk in clarity, security, and guidance.
I bring the Father’s light to a world of darkness.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We ended the week claiming the promise that through faith, all things are possible.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” – Mark 9:23

Make this confession with me.

God wants to do more in me and through me than I can imagine.
Nothing is impossible as I put my faith in Christ.
When I pray in faith, God answers.
Father, grow my faith in you.
Today, I walk and pray with faith in Christ.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. As always, I hope you will be in church tomorrow fellowshipping with other believers and worshiping God together.

If you need prayer, you can post a prayer request on our website at www.nationalprayerroom.com. Allow others to stand with you in your prayer need.

Friday was most outstanding for me as it reminded me that faith in God regarding anything does wonders. I’ve been going through an area of my life that I needed to extend my faith. This reminds me of the soldier who asked Jesus to say the word because his faith was maximized. Bless the Lord..
