Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

Proverbs 24:15 James 4:6 Proverbs 16:31 1 Corinthians 15:58 Romans 8:38-39

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise.

Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week seeing how no matter how many times you fall, Jesus is there to help pick you and get going again.

Here’s the promise.

For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. – Proverbs 24:15

If you are down from a fall, isn’t it time to turn to Christ? Put the past in the past, and get up again.

Make this confession.
  • Falling and failing are natural parts of life.
  • When I fall, Jesus is there to help pick me up and get going again.
  • In Jesus Name, when I fall, I will not stay down.
  • No matter how many times I fall, I will always get back up.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we saw how God pours His grace over those who humble themselves before Him.

Here’s the promise.

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” – James 4:6

Make this confession.
  • I live in humble dependence on God.
  • As I humble myself before God, He pours out His grace on me.
  • God opposes me when I live in pride and independence.
  • I confess my need for Christ and humble myself before Him today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Halfway through the week, we saw that as we submit our plans to the Lord, He will help bring them to pass.

Here’s the promise.

Commit your works to the Lord And your plans will be established. – Proverbs 16:3

Confess this with me.
  • Today I submit all my plans to the Lord.
  • I am listening for His approval and direction.
  • I know He will lead and guide me.
  • God will establish my plans so they will be successful.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday, we discovered how God calls us to be steadfast and immovable in our faith in Christ.

Here’s the promise.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. – 1 Corinthians 15:58

Make this confession.
  • My faith is strengthened as I learn more of God’s word.
  • In Jesus’ name, no matter what comes against me, I will not be moved.
  • What God has commanded, He always empowers me to accomplish.
  • As I remain steadfast and immovable, my work for the Lord will abound.

In Jesus name,
Amen

We ended the week celebrating the promise that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Here’s the promise.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39

Confess this with me.
  • Nothing can separate me from God’s love.
  • There is nothing I can do that will keep God from loving me.
  • No force seen or unseen can limit God’s love in my life.
  • I am loved and accepted by God.
  • Nothing can change that fact.

In Jesus Name
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, so I hope you will be in church, worshiping the Lord and hearing His Word.

Let me encourage you to share these promises and The Daily Promise with a friend. Everyone needs encouragement from God’s Word.

Proverbs 24:15 when I fall God is there to pick me up. A lot of times we as saved people of God are our worst critics when it comes to a fall from Grace. I’m guilty of that because I put myself down but in reality God is always to pick me up but it’s all about true repentance and turning away and that’s something I am practicing to keep from falling and failing. Thank you for these wonderful scriptures this week it’s always a blessing to start my day off reading the word of God and letting it manifest in my heart, mind, body and soul.
