Today’s Promise

God’s Presence Brings Abundant Joy

You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures.
Psalm 16:11

Joy in His Presence

Joy comes from the presence of God. The closer you are to His presence, the greater your joy. A life lived in the presence of the Lord is a life filled with joy.

I believe Jesus was a joyful person. So many movies portray Jesus as a solemn, serious person who moved through crowds with his hands raised, blessing people. I don’t believe He went around with a pious frown on His face. To hang with Jesus had to be fun. The Pharisees considered Him a glutton and a drunk. Jesus was a joy-filled person.

A Natural Expression

Joy should be the natural expression of the Christian life. Circumstances and situations don’t control your joy. Joy is the inner peace that God is in control and is working for your good.

I love that the Psalmist didn’t stop with “joy.” He had to add “abundant joy.” Abundant joy is overflowing joy. Abundant joy is the joy that is more than enough. Abundant joy is overflowing and never-ending joy.

Joy goes beyond your situation. Joy overflows in your life even when things aren’t going the way you wish. Joy isn’t dependent on your being happy; it’s based on your relationship with Christ.

When you enter into God’s presence, you realize nothing else matters. You can rejoice because the King of Glory is your Father and is working for your good.

Christ in You

Christ in you is a constant source of God’s presence. Today, you have overflowing joy because God’s presence lives in you.

You can be joyful today because God is in control.

You can be joyful today because you are on the path to eternal life.

You can be joyful today because Christ in you is your source of joy.

If you aren’t feeling joyful, maybe you have slipped away from God’s presence. Perhaps it’s time to draw close to Him so and once again experience the joy of His presence.

Look at that promise once again.

You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures. – Psalm 16:11

Make these confessions.

  • In God’s presence, there is abundant joy.
  • Joy is the evidence of my walking in God’s presence.
  • Today, I am on the path to eternal life – overflowing with joy.
  • Christ in me is my source of joy.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When you walk in the presence of God, joy overflows in your life.

Yes when he said in laughter to me I been here the whole time silly that was the most Joyful and full of laughter I had felt in years and yet I can’t fully put in words what I felt in that moment but i can say I love our God he found me and he makes life worth living the best gift in the world is to know him and know we are loved by him I can’t wait until the day comes to enter the Kingdom and be with him nothing on Earth compares to the gift of being with our Heavenly father that is what I want more than anything being with him and saying to him thank you for being there for accepting me forgiven me and filling me with the unconditional love I have desired to feel sense I was a child
