Today’s Promise

Jesus Lives in Me

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Jesus Lives in You

When you came to Christ, God did more than forgive your sins and provide heaven when you die. Those two things are incredible on their own, but just like God, He took it to the next level.

When you came to Christ, Jesus came into your heart; He took up residence in you. That’s a little hard to wrap your mind around, but the Spirit of Christ is in you.

This is more than just symbolic or metaphoric; Jesus literally took up residence in you. Today, I want to give you a few things to consider when it comes to Jesus in you.

When Christ came into you, He made you a new person.

The person you were before you came to Christ is dead and gone. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that you are a new creation. Your old sinful heart was transformed and reborn into a heart that longs to walk in fellowship and obedience to Christ.

Since Christ is in you, He is always with you.

Just because you don’t always feel His presence, doesn’t mean He isn’t with you. No matter where you go, Jesus is there with you. Because of this, you bring Jesus into every conversation, meeting, or situation. When you walk into a room, Jesus comes with you.

Since Christ is in you, He speaks to your heart.

God speaks to you in many ways. He may speak as you read the Bible, as you hear a message or sermon from your pastor. He may also speak to you through fellow Christians. Whatever the situation, God speaks to your heart. Since Christ dwells in your heart or spirit, it makes sense that He speaks to your heart. Through the years, I have heard God’s voice in my heart as clearly as if I had heard it audibly.

Since Christ is in you, He leads you.

If you listen, you will be amazed at how God leads you throughout your day. If you allow Him, He will guide you through His spirit and direct you.

Look at that promise again.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. – Galatians 2:20

Make these confessions today.

  • I have Jesus dwelling in me.
  • Jesus leads me throughout my day.
  • I am a new person in Jesus Christ.
  • Wherever I go today, Jesus goes with me.

In Jesus name
Amen

You have Jesus living in you. You have been made new in Him, and wherever you go, He is there with you. He speaks to you and leads you throughout your day.

It means you have authority over your flesh and the enemy of your soul. It means you live to please God not self. It means dying to self and living to do his will. It means you walk in faith not fear. It means you love God and the Kingdom of God. It means inviting him to every part of your life and day. It means trusting, believing ,and depending on God andHis Word. It means treating others as you want to be treated. It means hating sin as God does. It means seeing others as God does. It means thinking, and doing as Jesus would. It means wearing the armor of God and staying in Spiritual Warfare. It means praying, praising, and glorifying God In what you say think and do. It means The resurrection power is alive in you. It means dying to the world, the flesh, and the devil. It means walking in the fruit of the spirit. It means walking in mercy, grace, forgiveness, power, compassion, righteousness, and holiness. It means taking up your cross and following Christ; crucifying the flesh.

It means trusting Him wholeheartedly and not GIVING into flesh but into God who will lead and guide us if we allow Him too. It means lacking nothing but yet praying not my will Lord but your will be done.
