Today’s Promise

Joy Comes in the Morning

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.
Psalm 30:5

The Night Will Pass

Sometimes problems and difficulties feel like they will last forever. Today, God reminds you that the night will soon pass, and the morning will come. A new day of joy is about to begin.

If you have ever gotten up early to watch the sunrise, it’s something exhilarating and exciting to see. Sunrise in the mountains is even better. As the sun’s rays’ peek over the mountain top, it’s a striking reminder that a new day has begun.

We have all had those nights where you tossed and turned, hoping for the morning. Right now, you may be going through a season of sorrow, pain, or uncertainty, and you think the dark night of your soul may never end. In the midst of your difficulty, it’s easy to get so focused on the problem that you think things will never change.

Weeping lasts for the night, but not forever. It is just for a season, not a lifetime. We all face problems, but they don’t last.

Joy Will Come

It may be hard to believe now, but joy will come. The pain will fade, the heartbreak will heal, and the sunrise of a new day will soon be here.

Now I am not downplaying the pain you may be going through right now; I know that sometimes life is just hard. But the morning is coming, and a new day is about to begin.

The sun will rise, and a new season will emerge.

God’s Love

The only thing that lasts forever is the love of God. Think about that for a moment. As a child of God, you have the favor of God, and that favor lasts a lifetime. Actually, God’s favor will last for more than a lifetime. It will last for all eternity. His love rests on you even in your darkest night. His love and favor bring the new day and joy in the morning.

Look at the promise one more time.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. – Psalms 30:5

Makes these confessions.

  • Sorrow lasts for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
  • My darkest night will pass because morning will soon dawn.
  • God is bringing me a new day of joy and favor.
  • By faith, I shout for joy at the new morning God is bringing.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

As we trust in the Lord, we find that sorry never lasts forever. God brings the morning and His joyful favor.

I thoroughly enjoyed your message on the “Claiming the Promises of God. It’s important to not let the everyday issues/problems shape your daily journey. Put your faith in the Lord and you will experience all the blessings the Lord has in store for you. Putting our faith and trust in the Lord is the way He wants us to do. In my younger years, I hadn’t figured that out. I was the one that was going to figure out my problems myself, only to fail miserably. Once I gave my life to Christ, I turned them over to Him and found the peace I never experienced.
