Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday

On Monday, we how God has given us the Holy Spirit to indwell, empower, teach, and comfort us.

Here’s the promise.

But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. – John 16:7

Make these confessions.
  • I have the Holy Spirit dwelling in me.
  • He is teaching me and providing all I need.
  • I have an intimate relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.
  • The Holy Spirit is empowering me to be all God has called me to be.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Everything God is doing it the world today, He is doing through the Holy Spirit. As a Christian, you have the Holy Spirit in you.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, we discovered a powerful promise in a tiny Old Testament book called Nahum.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. – Nahum 1:7

Make these confessions.
  • In good times and bad, God is good.
  • Even when I don’t understand, God is good.
  • When problems come, I run to God, my stronghold.
  • When everyone else has forgotten me; God knows my name.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

Remember, God is good, He is your stronghold, and He knows you by name.

Wednesday

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that Jesus invites us to come and sit with Him. He wants us to know Him the way we know our closest friends.

Here’s the promise.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. – Revelation 3:20

Make these confessions.
  • Jesus is calling me to a deeper fellowship with Him.
  • The more I open my heart to the Lord, the deeper our relationship goes.
  • I will not allow the world to steal my time of fellowship with Him.
  • Today, I will listen for His call.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Take a few moments today, sit down, and spend time getting to know Christ. You will experience a deeper level of fellowship with Him and a return to your first love.

Thursday

On Thursday, we that as the children of God, we live in God’s grace and favor. We can’t work for His favor; we can only receive it by faith.

Here’s the promise.

A good man will obtain favor from the Lord, But He will condemn a man who devises evil. – Proverbs 12:2

Make these confessions.
  • I walk in the favor and blessing of God.
  • God has placed the righteousness of Christ in me.
  • I am allowing what God did in my heart to flow into every area of my life.
  • God’s goodness in me, releases God’s favor on me.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Remember, God wants to bless you more than you can imagine. Make it your goal today to walk in God’s favor.

Friday

We ended the week, seeing that we never have to fear when we face difficult and scary times. God’s presence is always with us. He will comfort and protect us in our darkest times.

Here’s the promise.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4

Make these confessions.
  • I will not fear.
  • God is leading me through the valley of the shadows.
  • As the Good Shepherd, He is guiding my footsteps.
  • Jesus is with me, so I find rest and security in Him.

In Jesus name,
Amen

If you are going through a valley today, reach out to the Good Shepherd, who is watching over, and caring for you.

That’s it for the week. I know some of you are going through some tough times.
