Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I Will Have An Eternal Body

On Monday, we saw that even though our bodies are getting old and will one day fail us, God promises each of us a new eternal body that will never grow old, never fail, and will last for all eternity.

Here’s the promise.

For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. – 2 Corinthians 5:1

Confess this with me.

  • My body is aging and will one day fail me.
  • In Jesus Christ, I have a new, eternal body.
  • When I pass from this life into eternity,
  • I will receive a new and eternal body handmade by God.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Death is not final. When you close your eyes in death, you will open them in a new body, in the presence of God for all eternity.

Tuesday – I Seek Christ and His Kingdom

On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that as we make seeking Christ and His kingdom our priority, everything else will be given to us.

Here’s the promise.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33

Confess this with me

  • As I seek the kingdom of God, everything else falls into place.
  • I seek the Kingdom of God by making Christ my priority.
  • Today I make the kingdom of God my focus.
  • I look forward to all God brings into my life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

As you learn to live and follow the kingdom of God, you find everything else is added to you.

Wednesday – The Lord is My Shepherd

Midway through the week, we were reminded that the Lord is our shepherd. Jesus called Himself the good shepherd. As the good shepherd, He knows where you are, what you worry about, and your deepest needs.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. – Psalm 23:1

Confess this with me.

The Lord of all creation is my shepherd.

He is my protection, provision, and guide.

He is watching over every area of my life.

He knows my name, and I hear His voice.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Let this promise follow you throughout your day. The Lord is Your shepherd.

Thursday – I Am Fashioned by God

On Thursday, we learned how we are formed and fashioned by the hand of God. You are not an accidental combination of DNA material. God created you for a purpose.

Here’s the promise.

Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments. – Psalm 119:73

Confess this after me.

  • I am handcrafted by God.
  • He made me with a purpose and a plan.
  • I am not an accident; I am created.
  • I was created according to His specifications for His purpose.
  • I am made according to His desire, and His desire is for my good.
  • Today I celebrate how God fashioned and created me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

You will never experience the meaningful life God intends for you as long as you are wishing you were someone different.

Friday – I Am A Temple of God

We ended the week seeing how our bodies are the temple of God. Jesus promised He would send the Holy Spirit to dwell in those who followed Him. God’s presence has moved from the temple to the hearts of Christians like you.

Here’s the promise.

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? – 1 Corinthians 3:16

Confess this with me.

  • I am the temple of God.
  • God’s Holy Spirit dwells in me.
  • Wherever I go, I bring the presence of God with me.
  • I represent the presence of God to the world around me.
  • My life brings glory and honor to God in all I do.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

As His temple, you bring God’s presence into every situation of life. Wherever you go, God’s presence goes with you.
