Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – God Goes Before Me

We began the week, seeing how God goes before us to clear our path and fight our battles for us.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, just as a man carries his son. – Deuteronomy 1:30-31

Make these declarations.

  • Today, God is going before me, clearing the way.
  • When I face a giant, God fights the battle for me.
  • When I feel like I can’t go on, Jesus carries me in His loving arms.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Today, as you are faced with challenges, problems, and giants, remember God is going before you. When the enemy attacks, God will fight the battle for you.

Tuesday – Joy Comes in the Morning

On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that even though we face heartache and difficulties, joy comes in the morning.

Here’s the promise.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. – Psalms 30:5

Declare this with me.

  • Sorrow lasts for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
  • My darkest night will pass because morning is just about to dawn.
  • God is bringing me a new day of joy and favor.
  • By faith, I shout for joy at the new morning God is bringing.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

It may be hard to believe now, but joy will come. The pain will fade, the heartbreak will heal, and the sunrise of a new day will soon be here.

Wednesday – Jesus Calls Me His Friend

Midway through the week, we celebrated the promise that we are the children of God.

Here’s the promise.

No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. – John 15:15

Make these confessions:

  • Jesus calls me His friend,
  • I am not a slave but a friend.
  • I am His partner in building the Kingdom of God.
  • As His friend, I know Him, and He knows me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Jesus invites you into a life-giving friendship with Him. There is no need to live in fear or shame when Jesus is your friend.

Thursday – I Have Perfect Peace

On Thursday, we claimed the promise of peace. As we trust the Lord, He keeps our hearts in His perfect peace.

Here’s the promise.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. – Isaiah 26:3

Declare this with me,

  • In Jesus Christ, I have supernatural peace.
  • As I put my complete faith and trust in Him, He fills me with His perfect peace.
  • God is protecting and keeping His perfect Peace within me.
  • I have the perfect Peace of God no matter what I may face.
  • Jesus is giving me His perfect peace today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

As you learn to place your trust and focus on Christ, God promises that peace will become the characteristic of your life.

Friday – God Will Complete His Work in Me

We ended the week with the promise that God is always working in our lives. What God began when we gave our lives to Him, He will complete when we see Him face to face.

Here’s the promise.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6

Make these confessions:

  • What God began in my life, He will complete.
  • Every day He is working to make me more like Jesus.
  • He has brought me this far and is not going to quit on me now.
  • I am confident that He will complete His work in me.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

What God began in your life, He will complete. It’s easy to think the Christian life is all about what I need to do. However, the Christian life is really about God working in me.

That’s it for this week. I pray these promises have been a blessing to you. Take a moment and go back through these verses. Allow God to speak to you through one of these promises.

Please take a moment and share one of these promises with a friend, or post it online. During these days, everyone can use a positive promise from God’s Word.

Jesus calls me his friend and I am not a Slave. I am a friend working together to build God’s Kingdom.
I have the perfect piece of knowing that God is with me to help me no matter what I might be going through.
