Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I am Planted by Streams of Living Water

We began the week seeing how as we make God’s Word a priority in our life, we become like a tree planted by streams of living water.

Here’s the promise.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. – Psalm 1:2-3

Make these confessions.
  • God has planted me firmly by streams of water.
  • His spirit is refreshing and empowering me.
  • His Word is cleansing me.
  • In times of stress and drought, I have refreshing living water.
  • I overflow with living water to the world around me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Today, as you plant your life in the Word of God, the Holy Spirit will fill you with His refreshing living water.

Tuesday – I Walk by Faith

On Tuesday, we confessed that we walk by faith, not by sight. We focus on the eternal unseen world, not the temporal, seen world. Some only believe what they see, but we know there is far more to life than the physical world around us.

Here’s the promise.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Make these confessions.
  • I live by faith and not by sight.
  • My focus is on the invisible kingdom of God.
  • I am trusting that what God has said, He will do.
  • I am listening for His voice and walking in obedience to Him today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

You have a choice. You can live by faith and God’s Word, or live by what you see. I am praying you live by faith.

Wednesday – I Am No Longer a Slave to Sin

Midway through the week, we were reminded that we are no longer slaves to sin. The power of Christ in us has set us free from the penalty and the power of sin. We have victory over every temptation because the blood of Christ has set us free.

Here’s the promise.

We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. – Roman 6:6-7

Make these confessions.
  • In Jesus Christ, I am dead to sin.
  • Sin no longer has power over me.
  • I am free from the penalty and power of sin.
  • My old self is dead, and my new self walks in obedience to Christ.
  • Jesus has set me free from sin.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Remember, your old self is dead, and you are alive in Christ. You are no longer a slave to sin. Live in the freedom Christ has provided.

Thursday – God’s Grace is Enough For Me

On Thursday, we learned that God’s grace is enough for any problem we may face. Sometimes God removes the problem, and sometimes He gives us strength through the problem.

Here’s the promise.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Make these confessions.
  • I have God’s grace working in my life.
  • I have God’s unmerited favor.
  • His grace gives me strength, power, and comfort.
  • No matter what I face, God’s grace is enough for me.
  • I can face any situation because God’s grace is working in my life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When you feel like things are overwhelming you and you just can’t go on, remember God’s grace is enough.

Friday – The Word of Christ Dwells in Me

We ended the week with the command to allow the Word of Christ to dwell richly in us.

Here’s the promise.

Let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  – Colossians 3:16

Make these confessions.
  • The Word of Christ is at home in my heart.
  • I am completely yielded to the Word of Christ.
  • The Word of Christ empowers every area of my life.
  • I will not be taken in by false teaching or deception.
  • I am growing in wisdom as I allow His Word to richly dwell in me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly so you can live with wisdom and encourage everyone around you.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.
