Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – God’s Love for Me Never Changes

We began the week talking about God’s love. There is only one thing you can count on in this world, and that is the love of God. When everything in life is shaken, you can cling to the stable rock of God’s love.

Here’s the promise.

“For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says the Lord who has compassion on you. – Isaiah 54:10

Make these confessions.

  • God has a commitment love for me.
  • I can count on His love, no matter what happens in life.
  • Even when I am unfaithful, God’s love for me doesn’t change.
  • God’s love for me will never change, never fail, and never end.

In Jesus name,
Amen

When God makes a promise, He keeps it. He promises to love you no matter what you go through.

Tuesday – You Can Rejoice in Every Trial

On Tuesday, we discovered the promise that we can rejoice in every trial or trouble.

Here’s the promise.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. – James 1:2-3

Makes these confessions:

  • In every trial, I can rejoice.
  • God uses every difficulty to strengthen and build my faith.
  • I don’t rejoice for the trial, but I can rejoice in the trial.
  • Every time my faith is tested, I grow stronger in my faith and build endurance.

In Jesus name,
Amen

In every trial, you can rejoice because God is using every difficulty to strengthen your faith and make you like Jesus.

Wednesday – God’s Promises are Precious

Midway through the week, we saw how God has given us great and divine promises. As we learn to claim each promise, our walk with God grows stronger and deeper each day.

Here’s the promise.

He has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. – 2 Peter 1:4

Make these confessions.

  • God has given me great and precious promises.
  • His promises remind me of His presence in my life.
  • His promise keeps me close to Him and away from the world.
  • As I claim His promises, my faith grows.

In Jesus name,
Amen

God has given you so many incredible promises in His Word. His promises give you power for living and build your faith in Christ.

Thursday – Give Thanks to the Lord

On Thursday, we paused to give things for all the blessings we have received. Because God is good, and His commitment love for us is forever, we can be truly thankful.

Here’s the promise.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting. – Psalm 107:1

Make these confessions.

Thank you, Father, for your goodness and care for me.

Thank you for blessing me in ways I easily forget.

Thank you that your love is never-ending.

Thank you for the salvation I have in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ name.

Amen

I hope you took a moment to itemize all the things you can be thankful for. If not, why not stop right now and do so.

Friday – I Will Trust in the Lord

We ended the week committing to trust in the Lord. This promise describes a person who trusts in the Lord as a tree planted by a stream of water. The “trusting person” is fruitful even during a drought.

Here’s the promise.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Make these confessions.

  • I will trust in the Lord.
  • He will refresh and sustain me no matter what I’m going through.
  • I will stand firm when I face difficult days.
  • I am growing the fruit of the spirit in me as I trust in Him.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

We are all going through difficult times. As you trust in the Lord, God will sustain you and use you as an example of His goodness and care.

That’s it for this week’s review.

I pray these verses have been a blessing to you. Take a moment to go back over these verses and allow God to move them deep into your spirit.

I hope, whether online or in-person, you will be in church tomorrow. Share at least one of these promises with a friend or family member. Encourage them with a promise from the Bible.
