Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – Jesus Fills Me With Joy
We began the week talking about the joy we have in Christ. Just as Jesus received perfect joy from His Father, Jesus promises us His supernatural joy.
Here’s the promise.
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. – John 15:11
Makes these confessions.
- God desires for me to live a joy-filled life.
- As I walk in fellowship with Christ, I live in joy.
- I experience complete joy as I walk in His presence.
- His joy gives me the strength to face anything life throws my way.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
The Christian life is characterized by joy. As you walk in fellowship with Christ, joy will begin bubbling up in your soul.
Tuesday – The Holy Spirit Prays for Me
On Tuesday, we saw that the Holy Spirit prays for us even when we don’t know how to pray or what to pray. He takes the cry of our heart and presents it to God.
Here’s the promise.
In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. – Romans 8:26
Make these confessions.
- The Holy Spirit prays for me when I don’t know what to pray.
- The Holy Spirit prays for me when I don’t know how to pray.
- The Holy Spirit prays for me in my weakest times.
- The Holy Spirit prays for me when all I can do is cry out to God.
- The Holy Spirit is praying for me today.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When you don’t know what to pray or how to pray, the Holy Spirit prays for you. You don’t have to worry about how you are praying because the Holy Spirit is translating your prayer to your Heavenly Father.
Wednesday – I Will Not Fear
Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that we don’t have to live in fear. As a Christian, we must never allow fear to hold us back. God is with us to strengthen and help us.
Here’s the promise.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
Make these confessions.
- I will not fear because God is with me.
- I will not fear because the creator God is my God.
- I will not live in fear because God is strengthening me
- I will not live in fear because God is helping me.
- I will not live in fear because God holds my hand and keeps me safe.
- In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
You can’t live in fear and live in faith. To overcome your fear, trust in the God who has promised to strengthen, help, and hold you.
Thursday – God Cares About the Details of My Life
On Thursday, we celebrated the promise that God knows and cares about the smallest details of our life.
Here’s the promise.
Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid therefore; you are worth more than many sparrows. – Matthew 10:29-31
Make these confessions.
- God knows and cares about the details of my life.
- He has every hair on my head numbered.
- I am significant to the Lord of Glory!
- Because He cares about the smallest things in my life, I can bring the smallest details of my life to Him.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Remember, God knows and cares about you. You are significant in His sight. He knows and cares about the smallest details of your life.
Friday – God’s Word Gives Me Victory Over Sin
We ended the week with the promise that God’s Word will keep us from sin. Centering our life around the Word of God transforms our thinking, renews our minds, and gives us the strength to face any temptation.
Here’s the promise.
Your Word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You. – Psalm 119:11
Make these confessions.
- As I treasure God’s Word, it renews my mind.
- When I read and study God’s Word, it strengthens my faith.
- God’s word shows me when I sin and how to get right with God.
- As I treasure God’s Word in my heart, it keeps me from sin.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
As you allow God’s Word to go deep into your heart, it transforms your life and keeps you from sin.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.
Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
