Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – God is With You in the Flood and Fire
We began the week by seeing how God is with us in our most difficult times. When we feel overwhelmed and have lost everything, He will strengthen, comfort, and hold us.
Here’s the promise.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. – Isaiah 43:2
Makes these confessions.
- God is with me when I am overwhelmed and things are falling apart.
- He is with me in the waters of fear and uncertainty.
- He is with me when my world is burning around me.
- God will lift me above the raging waters and walk with me through the fire.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When you face the flood and fire, God is with you. He knows what you are going through and will give you peace and even joy amid the problems you face.
Tuesday – God Sings Over You
On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that as a child of God, He sings over us with joy. He quiets my heart with His unending love.
Here’s the promise.
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. – Zephaniah 3:17
Make these confessions.
- I am a child of God, and God loves me.
- He holds me close and sings over me with joy.
- God rejoices over me like a new father.
- I can rest in Him because He loves me so much.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Today, God is singing over you the way a proud father sings over his newborn child.
Wednesday – Jesus Gives Rest
Midway through the week, we celebrated the rest we have in Christ. He gives us rest from our sin and the bondage of religion.
Here’s the promise.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. – Matthew 11:28-29
Make these confessions.
- In Jesus Christ, I have rest.
- I can rest from trying to be good enough for God.
- I have rest from my past guilt, shame, and regret.
- By faith, I claim my rest in Christ.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Instead of trying to be good enough for God, why not rest in all Christ has done for you? When you come to Him, He gives you rest
Thursday – No Weapons Can Stand Against You
On Thursday, we learned that God protects us from every spiritual attack. No weapon that is brought against us will be successful because God is protecting us. As children of God, we are surrounded before and behind by God’s love and protection.
Here’s the promise.
No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord. – Isaiah 54:17
Make these confessions.
- Every Satanic attack that comes against me will fail.
- I claim the protection of my heavenly father.
- I stand in faith that no weapon formed against me.
- And no accusation made toward me will succeed.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Though you live on a spiritual battlefield, the Lord stands with you. Not one attack or accusation will succeed. He is deflecting every weapon Satan uses against you today.
Friday – God Hides You in His Secret Place
We ended the week with the promise that God hides us in His secret place. As we walk in the presence of the Lord, He brings protection and provision.
Here’s the promise.
For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. – Psalm 27:5
Make these confessions.
- When troubles come, I know God will protect me.
- He will hide me in His presence.
- He will keep me from the enemy and provide for my every need.
- He is my hiding place.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When you build your life around a personal walk with God, when trouble strikes, He will protect and hide you in Him. He will place you in His secret place.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.
