Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – The Word of Christ is in You

We began the week by seeing how the word of Christ dwells in us. As we allow the word of Christ to dwell in us, we develop a new level of wisdom in everything we do.

Here’s the promise.

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. – Colossians 3:16

Make these confessions.
  • The word of Christ is at home in my heart.
  • I am fully yielded to the word of Christ.
  • The word of Christ empowers every area of my life.
  • I am growing in wisdom as I allow His word to dwell in me.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Allowing the Word of Christ to dwell in us richly encourages everyone around us.

Tuesday There is Now no Condemnation in Christ

On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that there is no condemnation in Christ. In Christ, we stand before God clean and pure. We can stand firm, knowing we are no longer under any condemnation and Jesus has removed our shame and guilt on the cross.

Here’s the promise.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. – Romans 8:1

Make these confessions.
  • In Jesus Christ, my sin is paid in full.
  • I am no longer under condemnation.
  • I am free from the shame and guilt of my past.
  • Praise God, Jesus has taken away all my guilt and shame.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Never allow the condemnation of religion to overshadow the forgiveness you have found in Christ.

Wednesday – You Have the Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Midway through the week, we celebrated the fruit of the Holy Spirit growing in us. God promises the fruit of the Holy Spirit to those who live in obedience and submission to Him.

Here’s the promise.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)

Make these confessions.
  • In Jesus’ Name, the fruit of the Spirit are growing in my life.
  • As I walk filled with the Holy Spirit, these fruits become evident in my life.
  • When the fruit of the Spirit are not evident, they remind me to check my walk with God.
  • I choose to walk in the Spirit and allow God to grow the fruit of the Spirit in my life.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Today, as we walk filled with the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit grows in our lives.

Thursday – Come to Me With Confidence

On Thursday, we learned we can come before God in confidence because of Christ’s grace and mercy. In our time of greatest need, or our lowest point of failure, we have an invitation to come freely before God’s throne of grace.

Here’s the promise.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

Make these confessions.
  • God invites me to come to Him with confidence.
  • I come before the throne of grace, not the throne of judgment.
  • I find mercy and help when I come to Him in prayer.
  • At His feet, I find grace, mercy, and help.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

There is no judgment before Christ. At His feet, we find mercy for our past and help for our future.

Friday – God’s Word Brings Prosperity

We ended the week with the promise that when we delight in God’s Word, we prosper in all we do. Prospering is not a guarantee of financial blessing. However, when we delight in God’s Word, we will gain wisdom. Wisdom allows us to make good choices that lead to successful living.

Here’s the promise.

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. – Psalm 1:3

Make these confessions,
  • As I delight in God’s Word, I prosper.
  • I have the wisdom to make wise choices.
  • I prosper in my career, relationships, and finances.
  • I have true success as I delight in God’s Word

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

There is great value in living life according to the Word of God. Our prosperity is a reflection of the importance of living life delighting in the Word.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
