Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – Angels Will Protect You
We began the week with the promise that a host of angelic warriors watch over us. There are more with us than against us.
Here’s the promise.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. – Psalm 34:7
Make these confessions.
- I may not see them, but God has stationed angels around me.
- There are more with me than against me.
- I will not fear, knowing angels are defending me.
- Today, an angelic army surrounds and protects me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Angelic warriors with flaming swords are ready and able to come against any force or foe who comes against us today.
Tuesday – Your Name is Written in Heaven
On Tuesday, we celebrated the promise that our names are written in heaven. We know where we will spend eternity.
Here’s the promise.
Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. – Luke 10:20
Make these confessions.
- God has written my name in heaven.
- I will spend eternity in the presence of God.
- Nothing can separate me from my eternal home.
- I do not fear death because I know where I will spend eternity.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Knowing our names are written in heaven is the greatest blessing of all. We don’t fear death because we know we will spend eternity with God celebrating the joys of heaven.
Wednesday – God Will Strengthen Your Inner Person
Midway through the week, we saw how God strengthens our inner person. His Holy Spirit within gives us the strength to face any and every problem.
Here’s the promise.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being. – Ephesians 3:16
Make these confessions.
- God is strengthening my inner being today.
- God’s power and grace are my sources of strength.
- The Holy Spirit empowers me today.
- I am strong because Christ gives me His strength.
- I will not give up or give in because I have the power of Christ in me.
In Jesus’ Name.
Amen
When our hearts are empowered and strengthened, we can do anything. We can go longer than we can imagine, further than we thought possible, and stay with it until we finish. Jesus is strengthening us today.
Thursday – Jesus Will Carry You in His Arms
On Thursday, we claimed the promise that, like a good shepherd, God watches over His sheep. He lovingly cares for us when we are strong and carries us in His arms when we are weak.
Here’s the promise.
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. – Isaiah 40:11
Make these confessions.
- Jesus is my great shepherd.
- He provides for my every need.
- When I am weak, he carries me close to His heart.
- He gently leads me on the path I should follow.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Our good shepherd is watching over us today. We can rest in his protection and provision. He will lead us when we are strong and carry us when we are weak. Listen for the voice of the Good Shepherd today.
Friday – Jesus is Willing to Answer
We ended the week with the promise that Jesus is willing to answer your prayer. When we come to Him in prayer, we don’t have to convince Him to answer. Jesus is able and willing to meet our every need.
Here’s the promise.
And a leper came to Jesus, beseeching Him and falling on his knees before Him, and saying, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” – Mark 1:40-41
Make these confessions.
- Jesus has compassion for me.
- He is willing to enter into the problems I face.
- When I come to Him, He always hears my call.
- In Jesus Christ, I find compassion and healing.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
We don’t have to be afraid to bring our needs and hurts to Jesus. He is willing and able to meet our needs and touch our lives.
