God Keeps His Promises
Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant.
1 Kings 8:56
God Keeps His Promises
Your confidence and faith grow as you review how God has worked in your life. When you look back on how God has protected and provided, you see He is the promise-keeping God.
In this scripture, Solomon gives a blessing to the people of God. He reviews their history and reminds them that God’s promises never fail. What God said He would do, He did.
Not One Word
I love the phrase, “Not one word has failed.” You can count on the Bible’s promises because they are the Word of God, and God always keeps His word.
As one who has walked with the Lord for many years, I can agree with Solomon that God has never failed to fulfill His promise in my life. At times, I may not have understood it, but as I look back on my life, I can see His hand working.
The God you serve is the God who makes good on His word. You and I can stand alongside King Solomon and agree that not one of God’s promises has failed.
He Will Do It
Faith believes that what God has said, He will do. Reviewing how God has worked in your life in the past is a powerful tool for strengthening your faith. Sure. there were times when you felt like He wasn’t going to come through. You may have experienced times of discouragement, but God has always fulfilled His promise to you.
Take a few moments today and review how God has been faithful in your life. Even when you made mistakes and missed God, He was faithful to keep every promise He made.
Look at that promise once again.
Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. – 1 Kings 8:56
Make these confessions.
- Every promise of God will come true.
- Even when I don’t understand, God is working to fulfill His word.
- I trust God that what He has said, He will do.
- I stand on God’s promise to me today.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
As you begin your week, remember that the God you serve is the promise-keeping God. He will always fulfill His word.
