Today’s Promise
September 4, 2023
God Will Fulfill His Call in You
The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:24
Today, we are looking at a promise that reminds us when God places a call in your life, He is faithful to bring it to pass. He equips and empowers you to fulfill His call.
God is Faithful
The promise of God’s faithfulness is repeated throughout scripture. The simple fact is that God is faithful.
When He makes a promise, He keeps it. When He entered into a covenant with His people, He kept it. When God promised Abraham that he would be the father of a nation, God was faithful to bring it to pass.
God was faithful when He spoke to Moses and said He would lead the people out of slavery and into the promised land. When Jesus commissioned the disciples to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth, He was faithful to bring it to pass.
Even when we are unfaithful, God is faithful.
He Will Accomplish His Work
God is faithful to accomplish His work in your life.
God called you to a new life in Christ. He is working day by day to make you more like Jesus.
What God began in your life, He will complete. If God calls you to a ministry, passion, or position, He is faithful to fulfill that call in your life. Sure, you have to work and be a faithful steward. You have to do your part, but God is the one who brings it to pass.
God never teases you. He doesn’t place a call in your life and then refuse to bring it about. No matter how God has called you, He is faithful to accomplish it in your life.
God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called. – Bill Anderson
God gives you the power, strength, and stamina to complete the call He has placed in your life. My childhood pastor used to say, “God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.’
What is the call God has placed in your life? Are you allowing Him to bring it to pass? Are you releasing your life into the faithful hands of God?
Look at that promise again.
The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. – 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Make these confessions.
- My God is a faithful God.
- What God begins in my life, He completes.
- Even though I am sometimes unfaithful, God is always faithful.
- Today, God is working to fulfill His call in my life.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
The God you serve is faithful. God never calls you without equipping you to fulfill His call. He will bring to pass every call He places on your life.
