Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – Your Body is God’s Temple
We began the week with the promise that our bodies are the temple of God. The Holy Spirit took up residence in you when you came to Christ.
Here’s the promise
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? – 1 Corinthians 3:16
Make these confessions.
- I am the temple of God.
- God’s Holy Spirit dwells in me.
- Wherever I go, I bring the presence of God with me.
- I represent the presence of God to the world around me.
- My life brings glory and honor to God in all I do.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Jesus promised He would send the Holy Spirit to dwell in those who followed Him. God’s presence has moved from the temple to the hearts of Christians like you.
Tuesday – Through Christ, You Can do all Things
On Tuesday, we saw how God gives us supernatural strength to face any challenge before us. When you fail and feel like giving up, remember Christ is in you and is giving you the power, guidance, and strength to overcome.
Here’s the promise.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
Make these confessions.
- In Jesus Christ, I can do all things.
- Whatever comes into my life, I can overcome it through Christ in me.
- No challenge or problem is too great for me.
- I can accomplish whatever God calls me to because He will strengthen me.
- Today, I walk in the power and strength of Christ in me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
There is never a need for despair or giving up because you can do all things through Christ.
Wednesday – God is with You
Midway through the week, we celebrated the promise that God is always with us. You are never alone because God’s presence is always with you. His presence is an expression of His love for you.
Here’s the promise.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. – Psalm 139:7-10
Make these confessions.
- No matter where I go, God is with me.
- I can never escape His presence or guidance.
- Even when I stray from Him, He is always with me.
- Today, He is guiding me and holding my hand.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Take a moment to recognize God’s presence and love in your life today. No matter where you go, God is with you. His presence will lead and hold on to you.
Thursday – God Hears Your Prayers
On Thursday, we claimed the promise that God always hears and answers our prayers. Jesus had absolute confidence that God heard His prayers. Because you are His follower, you can have that same confidence.
Here’s the promise.
This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. – 1 John 5:14-15
Make these confessions.
- God invites me to come boldly into His presence.
- I confidently bring my request to God.
- As I pray according to His will, I know He answers.
- I know God answers my prayer.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Through Christ, you can confidently approach God in prayer, knowing He will hear and answer your prayer.
Friday – God Gives Wisdom to Those Who Ask
We ended the week with the promise that God gives supernatural wisdom to all who ask of Him. God’s wisdom helps us understand the world and make good decisions that lead to success.
Here’s the promise.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. – James 1:5
Make these confessions.
- I have wisdom that comes only from God.
- When I ask, God gives me wisdom.
- When I need direction or clarity, I ask for God’s wisdom.
- God’s wisdom helps me make wise choices that bring about success.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
God blessed King Solomon when he asked for wisdom. He will give you wisdom when you ask Him.
That’s it for the week. I pray these promises have been a blessing to you. Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day, and I hope you will be in church. We need fellowship with other believers to be the people God has called us to be.
