This Week’s Scriptures
John 5:24 | 1 Peter 3:2 | John 8:36 | 1 Peter 5:10 | John 15:1
Saturday is review day. We go back through the promises we covered this week so we can allow God’s Word to become part of our life.
On Monday, we celebrated the eternal life with have in Christ.
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. – John 5:24
On Tuesday we claimed the promise that God hears our prayers.
For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. – 1 Peter 3:12
On Wednesday we confessed that if Christ has set us free, we are free indeed.
So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. – John 8:36
On Thursday we saw how we all go through times of suffering, but God uses suffering for His good in our life.
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. – 1 Peter 5:10
We ended the week on Friday with the promise of complete joy.
These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. – John 15:11
Confess this with me.
Because I have put my faith in Christ
I have eternal life
I have no fear of death because I know I have eternal life
When I die, I will spend eternity with the Lord
and will enjoy all the wonders of heaven with Him.
As a child of God, I know God is hearing my prayer
When I pray, He leans forward with eager anticipation
I need never worry that my prayers are being heard by God.
I know that when I pray, God hears
In Jesus Christ I am free
I am no longer a slave to my sin
I have freedom from my guilt and shame
I will never allow the chains of my past or the guilt and shame of my former life
to hold me back from being all God has called me to be.
When I suffer, I know it won’t last forever.
I can rejoice in my suffering because God will use it.
To perfect me, to confirm me, to strengthen me and to establish me.
My suffering is minimal compared to the glory of knowing Christ.
Today, as I walk in obedience to Christ
I have the joy of Jesus.
Obedience isn’t a set of rules, but a way of living.
My joy grows as I walk in intimate obedience to Christ.
His joy is in me, and my joy is full
In Jesus Name,
Amen
