This Week’s Promises
Isaiah 30:21 | Exodus 23:29-30 | Psalm 34:18 | James 1:2-3 | Proverbs 1:23
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – God’s Guides Your Steps
We began the week by seeing how God directs our steps. If we listen to his voice, He will show us which way to go.
Here’s the promise.
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21
Make these confessions.
- God will lead and direct me throughout my day.
- I need God’s guidance to know the best way to go.
- As I tune my ears to His voice, I hear Him more clearly.
- God may not show me the final destination, but He will show me the next step.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
God promises to lead and guide you in the way you should go. All you have to do is listen for his voice and be obedient to Him.
Tuesday – Victory Comes One Step at a Time
On Tuesday, we discovered that God gives us victory little by little. He leads us one step at a time. As God leads you step-by-step, He fights your battles, goes before you, and gives you victory. He transforms your life and renews your mind.
Here’s the promise.
I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.” – Exodus 23:29-30
Make these confessions.
- Today, God goes before me.
- God fights my battles for me.
- God leads me step-by-step.
- God works in my life little by little.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Don’t get impatient with how God is working in your life. Don’t beat yourself up for not progressing faster in your walk with Him. God is working little by little.
Wednesday – God Draws Close to the Brokenhearted
Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that when we are brokenhearted, God draws near. When you feel crushed by the things you have experienced, God will save you from hopelessness.
Here’s the promise.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18
Make these confessions.
- When I am brokenhearted, God draws me close.
- In my sadness, God pours His love and compassion over me.
- When I come to Jesus, He never turns me away.
- In my pain, God brings healing and restores my hope.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
In your pain, call out to Jesus. When you are brokenhearted, God draws you close, bringing healing to your heart and hope for tomorrow.
Thursday – You Can Rejoice in Your Trials
On Thursday, we celebrated the promise that we can rejoice in every trial.
We all face trials and troubles. We don’t rejoice for the trials but rejoice in the trials. We can rejoice because we know God is working in our trials. He is testing our faith to produce endurance and make us more like Jesus.
Here’s the promise.
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. – James 1:2-3
Makes these confessions.
- I rejoice in every trial.
- God uses every difficulty to strengthen and build my faith.
- I don’t rejoice for the trial but rejoice in the trial.
- Every time my faith is tested, I grow stronger in my faith and endurance.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
You can face difficult times because you know God is in control and will use your trials to test and grow your faith. Every trial produces steadfast endurance and deepens your trust in God.
Friday – God’s Spirit and His Word
We ended the week with the promise that God gives us His Spirit and His Word. He has given the Holy Spirit to dwell with us. His Spirit empowers us and gives us direction. God also gives us His Word. He uses the Holy Spirit to move God’s Word from our heads to our hearts.
Here’s the promise.
Behold, I will pour out my Spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Proverbs 1:23
Make these confessions.
- I have the Holy Spirit in me today.
- God is revealing His Word to me.
- God’s Word is the guiding force in my life.
- The Holy Spirit is moving God’s Word from my head to my heart.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
God’s Word and the Holy Spirit work together to transform and empower your life. Spend time reading God’s Word and listening to the Holy Spirit. Together they will strengthen and empower your walk with God.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.

The most meaningful promise for me this week is that God Draws near to the Brokenhearted, for when you are brokenhearted you really need His comfort and hope to cope with the grief.
