This Week’s Promises

1 Corinthians 2:6 Romans 8:16 | John 14:27 | John 15:8 | Hebrews 4:15

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – The Mind of Christ

We began the week seeing that we have the mind of Christ. As we walk with the Lord, He gives us new insight into the world around us. As we listen for His voice, His thoughts become our thoughts.

Here’s the promise.

For who has known the mind of the Lord, that He will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 2:16

Make these confessions.
  • I have the mind of Christ in me.
  • The Holy Spirit in me allows me to see the spiritual world around me.
  • I live by faith and not by sight.
  • The mind of Christ allows me to live life from God’s perspective.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

As a Christian, you have the mind of Christ. His indwelling presence leads and directs you. You walk by faith and not by sight.

Tuesday – We Are Children of God

On Tuesday, we celebrated the assurance of our salvation. The Holy Spirit speaks to our spirits and reminds us that we are the children of God.

Here’s the promise.

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. – Romans 8:16

Make these confessions.
  • I am a child of God.
  • The Holy Spirit bears witness that I am God’s child.
  • Because of my faith in Christ, I never doubt my salvation.
  • As a Child of God, I have confidence in prayer.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Just as Jesus presents us to the Father as His children, the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts that we are His.

Wednesday – Jesus Brings Peace

Midway through the week, we claimed the supernatural peace Christ gives. Our peace is not based on our circumstances but on the relationship with have with Christ.

Here’s the promise.

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.” – John 14:27

Make these confessions.
  • Right now, I receive the peace of Christ.
  • Father, thank You for Your peace in my life.
  • By faith, I walk in the peace you have promised me.
  • When my faith wains, I draw close to Christ and receive His peace in my life.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

The peace of Christ is a supernatural peace. It’s not based on your situation but on your relationship with the Lord Jesus. He is your peace today.

Thursday – You Produce Spiritual Fruit

On Thursday, we learned that as we walk filled with the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit grows in our lives. A healthy, thriving Christian will be a fruitful Christian. The fruit of the Spirit grows as the result of our intimate walk with God.

Here’s the promise.

“My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.” – John 15:8

Make these confessions.

  • God wants me to bear spiritual fruit.
  • As I abide in Christ, spiritual fruit grows in my life.
  • Spiritual fruit is the natural result of my abiding in Christ.
  • As I am fruitful, I bring glory to God.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Like the vinedresser, God desires His children to bear spiritual fruit. He is glorified when spiritual fruit grows in your life.

Friday – Jesus Understands Your Weakness

We ended the week seeing that because Jesus was tempted in every way we are, He knows and has compassion for our weaknesses.

Here’s the promise.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. – Hebrews 4:15

Make these confessions.
  • Jesus is my great high priest.
  • He faced every temptation I face and yet was without sin.
  • He understands my weaknesses and how hard life can be.
  • Jesus welcomes me into His presence.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Understanding that Jesus faced every temptation we face removes the fear of coming to Him when we are tempted or give in to temptation.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.

The way of fruitfulness is in abiding in Christ. He produces the fruit through me and God is glorified. What an arrangement. Glory to God.
