Today’s Promise

God Among Us
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14
God in Flesh
We are looking at the promises of God related to Christmas. Each promise gives us a better picture of Jesus and what He means to us today.
The Gospel of John opens with a description of Jesus as the Word of God. Jesus was with God in the beginning, and this verse promises He was God. All creation came through Him, and He is the light of the world.
In this verse, the Apostle John gives us two crucial promises about Jesus.
The first promise is that Jesus was God who became flesh. The creator God stepped into His creation. He took on our form and walked among us, experiencing our world. Because Jesus literally walked in our shoes, He understands our struggles and problems.
While all other religions require people to sacrifice and work hard to be good enough to reach God, Christianity is about God stepping down to our level to reach us.
Second, Jesus was unique. He was God in the flesh. Many would say Jesus was a good teacher, a great leader, and even an enlightened person. However, they don’t see Him as God. The Bible and Jesus Himself declared that He is the only Son of God. Jesus was God poured out in man’s flesh. Jesus didn’t cease to be God when he walked on this earth. He was all God and all man wrapped up in one body. Jesus was the great God-man. Those who saw Him saw the glory of God.
Because Jesus walked on this earth, you can be confident that He understands your weaknesses and struggles. You don’t have to “try” and reach up to God; He has come down to you.
Because Jesus is God, you can place your faith in Him. He was not just another man with another idea. He was more than a teacher. He was God, poured out into the flesh of man.
Look at the promise again.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. – John 1:14
Make these confessions.
- Jesus is the Word of God.
- Jesus was all God and all man in one body.
- I don’t have to reach up to God because He reached down to me.
- Since Jesus walked on this earth, He knows my struggles.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Jesus was the great God-man. He was all God and all man in one person. He came into the world to bring salvation to you and me.

What does knowing God knows your struggles mean to you? (Share your thoughts in the comments below)

It means believing in God and having faith that there is nothing he can’t or won’t do for me.Anen👍
It means that GOD really understands what I am going through because He, Himself has gone through it or something similar. Not only does He understand, He will Comfort and help me as I go through it. He will Never leave me nor forsake me. That means a whole lot to me.. GOD IS FOR ME. ✝️🙏💎👑❤️
It means that I I know he will take care of everything in his timing and not mine.
Knowing that Jesus went through all the trials and troubles of life makes me appreciate and love Him all the more.
