Today’s Promise
December 23, 2025
I Am Praying for You
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
Today’s episode is a little different than usual. Normally, I have each episode ready several days in advance, but because of the holidays, I got a little behind. As I was thinking about what promise to use for today’s episode, the Lord brought to mind a verse that is more of a prayer than a promise.
My Prayer for You
Today, I am echoing the prayer the Apostle Paul made for the church in Rome. I am praying you remember that the God you serve is the hope-filled and hope-giving God. He is the source of all hope. You can’t muster up hope; it only comes from God.
Today, I am praying that God fills you with His supernatural joy. Joy is not a feeling but the result of an inner confidence and trust in the Lord Jesus. Joy is the condition of the inner heart. Joy is not based on circumstances but on the Lord.
Today, I am praying that our hope-giving God fills you with peace. You can have peace because you know that God is in control. You have peace because you know that nothing can separate you from His presence.
Joy and peace are the results of putting your faith and trust in the Lord. They are the result of your trusting the Lord. You have the promise of joy and peace because the power of the Holy Spirit will bring them into your life. The first three fruit of the Spirit are Love, joy, and peace.
As you trust Him, God fills you with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. He not only gives you hope, but He gives abounding hope. This hope is overflowing and never-ending. Your hope is not based on wishful dreaming but on the confidence that your loving God is in control and working in your life.
Look at the promise again.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13
Make these confessions.
- I have the joy of the Lord.
- I have the peace of Christ in me.
- I abound in hope.
- The Holy Spirit’s power is bringing me joy, hope, and peace today.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
As you celebrate Christmas, I am praying for you that your faith and trust in the Lord increases and that His hope is released in your life.
