This Week’s Promises

Luke 2:10-11 | Romans 15:13 | Psalm 92:12-14 | Jeremiah 32:27

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. – Luke 2:10-11

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – The Christmas Announcement

We began the week looking at four proclamations the angels made to the shepherds that night in Bethlehem.

Here’s the promise.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. – Luke 2:10-11

Make these confessions.

  • Because of God’s love, I don’t have to be afraid.
  • The birth of Jesus is good news.
  • This good news is for all people.
  • Like those in the manger, I worship the Lord Jesus.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

The good news of the baby born in a manger is to all people. The Lord Jesus offers salvation to anyone who places their faith in Him. He is the Lord and master of all creation and worthy of our worship.

Tuesday – I Am Praying for You

On Tuesday, I shared a verse God put on my heart as a prayer for you.

Here’s the promise.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13

Make these confessions.

  • I have the joy of the Lord.
  • I have the peace of Christ in me.
  • I abound in hope.
  • The Holy Spirit’s power is bringing me joy, hope, and peace today.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

As you trust Him, God fills you with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. He not only gives you hope, but He gives abounding hope. This hope is overflowing and never-ending. Your hope is not based on wishful dreaming but on the confidence that your loving God is in control and working in your life.

Wednesday – The Prince of Peace

On Wednesday, we celebrated the promise that Jesus is our Prince of Peace.

Here’s the promise.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6

Make these confessions.

  • Jesus is my Prince of Peace.
  • I claim His peace in my life today.
  • As I trust and rest in Him, I have peace beyond measure.
  • Today, I worship the Prince of Peace.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

When you have Jesus, you have the Price of Peace. Remember, He is your peace. Rest in that peace.

Thursday – Merry Christmas

On Thursday, we all celebrated the birth of our Lord Jesus, and there was no Daily Promise episode.

Friday – You Will Flourish in Your Old Age

On Friday, we looked at the promise of how we can flourish and even be fruitful in our old age.

Here’s the promise.

The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green. – Psalm 92:12-14

Make these confessions.

  • I will flourish like a palm tree.
  • God makes me strong as the cedar of Lebanon.
  • I am planted in the presence of the Lord.
  • Even when I am old, I will thrive and be fruitful for the kingdom of God.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

As a follower of Christ, you can thrive in the most difficult situations. God will refresh and strengthen you as long as you live. Even in your old age, you will be strong and fruitful in the kingdom of God. What an incredible promise from God’s word.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
