Today’s Promise

January 6, 2026

God Never Forgets His Children

I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread.
Psalm 37:25

As a follower of Christ, you can be confident that God will never leave or forsake you. He will always be with you as your guide, protector, and provider.

God is Working

As you look back over your life, it’s easy to see the hand of God working. As the Psalmist reviewed his life, he becomes convinced of one thing. God never fails or abandons His children.

God never promised you a problem-free life. He never said you would go from one glorious day to the next and live the Christian life like the opening scenes of a Disney movie. However, there is one thing you can be confident of: as a child of God, when you face your darkest days, God will be with you.

God Never Abandons His Children

You may have experienced some hard times in your life. Times when it felt like your friends deserted you, and you were standing all alone. You may have even felt like no one cared. During those times, you found, He was always with you.

You may be going through a difficult time right now. Let me remind you that God never forsakes or abandons His children, and He will never forsake or abandon you.

Regardless of where you find yourself today, remember God will never leave you. As His child, you can rest assured that He will be your protection, security, and provision.

You see, there are no orphans in the kingdom of God, and God never abandons His children.

There are no orphans in the kingdom of God, and God never abandons His children.

One day, you will look back over your life. As you review the good times and the bad, you will agree with the Psalmist who said in this promise, “God never forsakes His children.”

Look at that promise again.

“I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread.” – Psalm 37:25

Make these confessions.

  • Father, thank you for watching over me today.
  • I know you will never forsake me and will always be my supply.
  • When I am full of worry and fear, remind me that You never forsake Your children.
  • As your child, I trust You will always be by my side.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

When I have encountered hard times and prayed to God, He has always responded in love and mercy and helped me in my struggles.

That is sooooooooo comforting. People will leave you and disappoint you and let you down. But I will NEVER leave me nor forsake me, Why? Because you are my Child.
The LORD spoke this to me year’s ago. It still touches my heart.
