Review Saturday
This Week’s Scriptures
Joshua 23:10 | Psalm 23:4 | Jeremiah 29:11 | 1 John 1:7 | John 7:38-38
Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.
Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week so that these promises really become part of our life.
We began the week seeing that when we face an enemy, God fights for us.
Here’s the promise.
One man of you puts to flight a thousand, since it is the Lord your God who fights for you, just as he promised you. – Joshua 23:10
Make this confession.
Today, I will win the battle because God fights for me.
I can face any enemy with God on my side.
He has promised I can drive away any enemy because He fights for me.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
On Tuesday we saw how there is never a reason to fear because God is with you.
Here’s the promise.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4
Make this confession.
I will not fear.
God is leading me through the valley of the shadows.
As the Good Shepherd, He is guiding my footsteps.
Jesus is with me, so I find rest and security in Him.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Midway through the week, we discussed how God has a wonderful plan for our lives.
Here’s the promise.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11
Here’s the confession.
God has a plan for my life.
His plan is for my good.
He is giving me a future.
I have hope as I trust in His plan
In Jesus name,
Amen
On Thursday we focused on the promise that Jesus has cleansed all our sin.
Here’s the promise.
But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:7 (NASB)
Make this confession.
In Jesus Christ, my sin is forgiven.
God has cleansed me from all the shame, guilt, and pain of my sin.
I am clean and pure before Him.
I no longer identify with my sin, but with my righteousness in Christ.
When I sin, God forgives me and cleanses my heart.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
We ended the week celebrating the promise that we have rivers of living water (the Holy Spirit) flowing from within us.
If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ – John 7:37-38
Make this confession.
I have a river of living water flowing through me.
This living water overflows to the world around me.
The living water is the Holy Spirit in me.
The Holy Spirit relieves my thirst and renews my heart.
In Jesus name,
Amen
