Today’s Promise
God’s Wisdom Is Stored Up For Me
Proverbs 2:6-7
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity.
We can all use a little wisdom; right?
If you are like me, I look back at some of my past decisions and wonder what I was thinking. If there was a way to make better choices, we could live better lives.
God promises wisdom to those who seek Him. Wisdom the ability to make good choices that bring about success. Wisdom is applying the truth of God’s word into your daily activities. Wisdom produces a life of quality and success.
True wisdom only comes from the Lord.
Wisdom is the result of living in fellowship with God. When you seek wisdom from the Lord, He blesses you in two ways.
First, God gives wisdom to those who seek Him.
God has stored up an abundant supply of wisdom for you. You will never deplete the wisdom God is ready to bestow on you. Imagine a library of guidance and right decisions prepared for the asking. As you seek God’s presence, you experience God’s wisdom.
Second, God’s wisdom becomes a shield about you keeping you from foolishness.
Foolish decisions bring about disastrous living. Wisdom keeps you on the right path, in line with God’s will and desire for your life.
To gain wisdom, you must seek the Lord. God’s wisdom is connected to your relationship with Him. If you are to find wisdom, it will be from the hand of God. Ask for God’s wisdom in every decision of life.
Gaining wisdom is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey.
There is a price to be paid for seeking wisdom, but there is a higher price paid for living outside of God’s direction and protection.
You choose to live a life of wisdom or foolishness. God’s desire for you is wisdom.
Look at that promise again.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. – Proverbs 2:6-7
Make this confession.
Wisdom only comes from the hand of God.
When I seek the Lord, I find wisdom.
God has wisdom stored up for me.
Wisdom is a shield about me protecting me from foolish choices.
In Jesus name,
Amen
