Happy Easter weekend from The Daily Promise and the National Prayer Room. During these undoubtedly trying times, I am praying God’s protection and the joy of Jesus to rest on your house. I am confident that God is still in control, and He will take care of you.
Review Day
We began the week seeing that the source of our peace is the Lord.
Here’s the promise.
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. – John 16:33
Make these confessions.
- Today, I have the peace of Christ.
- Because He has overcome the world, He offers me peace.
- In the midst of my storm, Jesus gives me peace.
- As I face problems and difficulties, I know I have the peace of Christ resting on me.
In Jesus Name.
Amen
You can have peace in this life because true peace is only found through your relationship with Jesus Christ.
On Tuesday, we saw how like a loving father, God disciplines His children. Discipline isn’t punishment, but training to be mature in Christ.
Here’s the promise.
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. – Proverbs 3:11-12
Make these confessions.
- God’s discipline is always for my good.
- Because He loves me, He tests and stretches my faith.
- I may not enjoy discipline, but it makes me spiritually mature.
- I welcome His discipline because it makes me more like Him.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Never resent God for allowing difficulties to come into your life. Every problem is an opportunity for God to take you to the next level of your faith and walk with Him.
Midway through the week, we claimed our forgiveness through the blood of Jesus.
Here’s the promise.
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. – Matthew 26:27-28
Make these confessions.
- The blood of Jesus has canceled my sin debt.
- The guilt, shame, and regret of my past have been removed by the blood of Jesus.
- When Jesus died on the cross, my sin was forgiven.
- There is now no barrier between God and me because of my sin.
- The barrier that separated God and me has been removed by the blood of Jesus.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Through faith in Christ, you now live free from the debt of your sin.
On Thursday, we saw how Christ’s suffering on the cross provides our healing.
Here’s the promise.
And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. – 1 Peter 2:24
Make these confessions.
- Jesus took on my sin as He hung on the cross.
- Because of Jesus’ suffering, I am healed.
- I am healed of my past pain, sin, and hurt.
- I can walk in fellowship with God because of the cross.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Because of Jesus suffering on the cross, you can live rightly before God. You can walk clean and pure before Him, and your every hurt, wound, and weakness of your past has been healed.
We ended the week celebrating the resurrection. Christ offered us eternal life through His victory over death.
Here’s the promise.
Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day. – Luke 24:45-46
Make these confessions.
- After three days in the grave, Jesus rose from the dead.
- Because Jesus overcame death, I do not fear the grave.
- Because Jesus rose from the dead, He offers eternal life to me.
- Father, thank you for the resurrection of Christ.
In Jesus name,
Amen
That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you.
Although you can’t go to the church building tomorrow, let me encourage you to celebrate Easter by watching a service online and expressing your thanks for the resurrection and the victory we have in Christ.
