Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Take a moment to review the promises and confession to allow God to move them deep into your heart.

We began the week learning that we have a heavenly crowd of witnesses, cheering us on to be all God has called us to be.

Here’s the promise.

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. – Hebrews 12:1

Make these confessions.

  • Today I run the spiritual race with passion.
  • Those who have gone before me are cheering me on to victory.
  • I will not give up, give in, or give out.
  • I run with my eyes focused on Christ.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Run your spiritual race with compassion today because you have a team cheering you on to victory.

On Tuesday, we saw how God is working in your life little by little to make you more like Christ.

Here’s the promise.

“I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.” – Exodus 23:29-30

Confess these promises.

  • God is going before me today.
  • God is fighting my battles for me.
  • God is leading me step-by-step.
  • God is working in my life little by little.

In Jesus name,
Amen

God leads you step-by-step. He is fighting and going before you to give you victory. He is transforming your life and renewing your mind. He is working in you to make you like Jesus.

Midway through the week, we celebrated the promise that when we pray in faith, God hears our prayer.

Here’s the promise.

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. – Matthew 21:22

Make these confessions.

  • I believe God hears and answers my prayers.
  • When I pray in faith, I receive from God what I ask.
  • When my faith is weak, God strengthens me.
  • My faith grows as I continue to pray in faith.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Remember, faith opens the doors of heaven and brings God’s answer.

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that when you are brokenhearted, God draws you near to Him. He brings healing to your heart and hope for tomorrow.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18

Make these confessions.

  • When I am brokenhearted, God draws me close.
  • He pours His love and compassion over me.
  • When I come to Jesus, He will never turn me away.
  • Amid my pain and failure, God brings healing and restores my hope.

In Jesus name,
Amen

If you are brokenhearted today, Jesus is close. The Holy Spirit will minister peace and healing to your soul. Jesus never turned away anyone who came to Him hurting, and He will never turn you away.

We ended the week with one of my favorite attributes of God; His goodness. He is a good God, and His goodness shows in all He does and in His wonderful love for you.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. – Psalm 145:9

Make these confessions.

  • God is Good, and He pours His goodness on me.
  • God’s mercy is over me today.
  • God’s Goodness never changes.
  • God is good to all and good to me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Right now, stop and think of three ways God has been good to you this week. Celebrate God’s goodness in your life this week.
