Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I Can Do All Things Through Christ

We began the week claiming the promise that we can do all things through the strength Christ gives us.

Here’s the promise.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13

Make these confessions.
  • In Jesus Christ, I can do all things.
  • Whatever comes into my life, I can overcome through Christ in me.
  • No challenge or problem is too great for me.
  • I can accomplish God’s call in my life, because Christ strengthens me.
  • Today, I walk in the power and strength of Christ in me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

There is never a need for despair or giving up because you can do all things through Christ.

Tuesday – God is Always With Me

On Tuesday, we saw how God’s presence is always with us. No matter where we go or what we do, we will never escape the presence of God.

Here’s the promise.

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. – Psalm 139:7-10

Make these confessions.
  • No matter where I go, God is with me.
  • I can never escape His presence or His guidance.
  • Even when I stray from Him, He is always with me.
  • Today, He is guiding me and holding my hand.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Take a moment and recognize God’s presence and love in your life today. No matter where you go, God is with you. His presence will lead and hold on to you.

Wednesday – God Listens to My Prayers

Midway through the week, we celebrated the promise that God hears and answers our prayer. Jesus had complete confidence that God would answer His prayer. That same confidence in pray is available to us today.

Here’s the promise.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. – 1 John 5:14-15

Make these confessions.
  • God invites me to come boldly into His presence.
  • I confidently bring my request to God.
  • As I pray according to His will, I know He answers.
  • I know God answers my prayer.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

You can approach God in prayer with confidence, knowing He will hear and answer your prayer.

Thursday – God Gives Me Wisdom

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that God gives wisdom to everyone who asks of Him. Wisdom is knowing how to live and make the right decisions in life.

Here’s the promise.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. – James 1:5

Make these confessions.
  • I have wisdom that comes only from God.
  • When I ask, He gives me wisdom freely and generously.
  • I ask God for wisdom when I need direction or clarity.
  • As I ask for wisdom, God always gives it to me.
  • God’s wisdom helps me make wise choices that bring about success.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Just as God blessed King Solomon when he asked for wisdom, God will bless you as you ask for wisdom today.

Friday – God Gave Me a New Heart

We ended the week with the promise that God gave us a new spiritual heart when we came to Christ.

Here’s the promise.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances. – Ezekiel 36:26-27

Make these confessions.
  • In Jesus Christ, I have a new heart.
  • Jesus took my old, hard heart and gave me a new  heart in Him.
  • God fills my heart with the Holy Spirit.
  • My new heart desires to walk in obedience and fellowship with God.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

If your heart has grown cold and insensitive to the voice of the Lord, God wants to revive and refresh your heart. Spend time with Him today and listen for His voice. He will soften your heart through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
