Submitted Plans Bring Success
Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.
Proverbs 16:3
Successful Plans
We all want to be successful. Who doesn’t want to see their plans for their business, career, and family succeed?
In this powerful little promise, God gives you a simple plan for success. If you commit your plans to the Lord, He will establish them.
There are two parts to this promise.
First, you have to commit your plans to the Lord. We all have dreams and projects we want to accomplish. The beginning point for every plan is gaining the Lord’s approval. We must submit our plans to the Lord.
A few years ago, I led a church to relocate and build a new church building. We had to submit our plans to the city for their approval. We couldn’t move forward until we submitted our plans, and they were approved by the city. If they rejected our plans or asked for modifications, we had to go back to the architect and make their requested changes. Before we could begin construction, we had to receive a permit of approval from the city.
The beginning point for any successful plan is to submit it to the Lord. Too often, we make plans and start projects without ever getting God’s approval. We jump out and start building before we get permission from the Lord. When we find ourselves stuck or failing, we wonder why things are not working out as we planned.
For your plans to succeed, you must submit them to the Lord. You submit your plans for His leadership, guidance, and approval. Then you make adjustments to your plans according to His direction. Only then can you move forward with success.
Second, once you submit your plans to the Lord, He will lead and direct you in the next steps. You don’t want to get ahead or behind in doing what He has instructed. Daily listening and obedience bring you right in line with His plan.
As you listen and obey Him, He will bring together the resources to establish your plans.
Living in submission to the Lord allows the blessing of God to flow through you and into your plans. Your plans will succeed as you commit them to the Lord, trusting God to bring them to pass.
Look at that promise again.
Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established. – Proverbs 16:3
Make these confessions.
- Today I submit my life and all my plans to the Lord.
- I am listening for His approval and direction.
- I know He will lead and guide me.
- God will establish my plans so they will be successful.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
If you want your work to succeed, give it to the Lord. You need His approval before you ever begin. In doing so, you will find new wisdom and guidance as you work. God will bless your work and bring about success.

I’ll be sending a monthly prayer update of requests and victories for those who become prayer warriors. To Whomever it May Concern,
I have been blessed many times by the Daily Promise Ministry and would like very much to be a prayer partner, because I believe that is my specific calling. However, I was disappointed when I started to sign up to be a prayer partner and find that I had to agree to receiving marketing information. I would not mind getting marketing information related directly to the Daily Promise, but not just random advertising from other companies. I felt I needed to share why I could not sign up. Thank you for your time

Hey Cindy. Because we reach an international audience, there are some requirements that the European Union requires on all signup pages. It’s called the GDPR. The legal requirements uses the word “marketing” but you would only receive emails directly regarding the prayer partner ministry. I’m sorry for the confusion. I hope you reconsider becoming a prayer partner – Billy
Good morning Mr..Taylor,
Praise God and thank you for replying to my comment. I truly believe your responding has confirmed that I need to trust God and be a part of the prayer warriors for The Daily Promise ministry,
I am disabled due to a car accidental accident in 2013. I have wrestled with God in my spirit about the limitations on my ability to serve my way; however, every single time the Holy Spirit reaffirms in my in my heart that PRAYING is exactly what God wants me to be about doing..
Therefore, I am going sign up to be a part of the Daily Promise prayer ministry and commit to the Lord Jesus to do what I know is He has called me to do.. I am trusting that GOD will do great things through humble hearts laying burdens and/or praises before His throne and thank Him in advance for the amazing ways He will answer.
Thank you, Mr. Taylor for your faithfulness to God’s call on your life and for taking a few moments to explain the logistics of joining the prayer ministry.
Because of Christ
