God Goes Before You

Scripture Promise: Deuteronomy 1:30-31
The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son…
The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son…
The Children of God faced a crisis of faith as they stood on the edge of the Promised Land. The land was indeed fertile, fruitful and good, but it was filled with giants. Would they face their enemy with trust and obedience to God, or would they turn in fear?
I love that first phrase, “your God who goes before you,” it is said with such confidence. Sometimes I forget that God is going before me, that He is clearing the way for me.
Imagine going through your day with the King of Glory clearing your path like the secret service goes before the President.
Have you ever faced a giant? Maybe not a physical one, but giants come in many forms. They can be financial, relational, or even personal. Giants are intimidating, threatening, and frightening. Maybe you are facing a giant today.
Remember, your God goes before you and fights the battle on your behalf.
What would you attempt today if you were absolutely convinced God was going before you?
How many of your giants would fall if you truly believed that God was fighting your battles for you?
Today, as you face a new week, with its challenges, problems, and giants, remember God is going before. When the enemy attacks, God will fight the battle.
When it seems like you can’t go on, He will carry you in His loving arms.
Look at that promise one more time.
The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son… – Deuteronomy 1:30-31
Confess this with me.
Today, God is going before me.
He is clearing the way.
When I face a giant or the enemy attacks,
He will fight the battle for me.
When I feel like I can’t go on,
Jesus will carry me in His loving arms.
I claim this promise in Jesus Name,
Amen

With all the evil rising up in our beloved country, we desperately need the assurance that God is still watching and that He will intervene against Satan and his minions to protect us and to guide us onto His right path.
What an AWESOME reminder… to know our Lord continually goes before us. He protects by hiding us under the shadow of his wings. I love Jesus, he is my everything! Amen:)
I love this. God who goes before me. What a awesome reminder. It’s something that I needed to hear with a giant that I’m facing this week.
Thanks B.T., again great reminder. I have to lock this promise in my heart. It’s so easy to be distracted & not focus as much as we should during trials. It’s fear, confusion, frustration, anxiety, depression & so many ways the enemy tries to take those promises away. Knowing that God goes before us all is one of the most powerful things to remember. God bless & pray for my marriage. I’m claiming this promise!
