Today’s Promise

I Walk by Faith And Not by Sight

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

As a growing Christian, you walk by faith.

You put your focus on the eternal unseen world, not the seen temporal world around you. Some only believe what they see, but you know there is far more than just what you can see. You know there is an unseen, spiritual world and it is your ultimate home. Everything else is passing away.

Walking by faith is walking in the will and direction of the Lord. You desire to be obedient to His word and the Holy Spirit’s prompting on a moment by moment basis.

As you walk by faith, you understand that what you see and touch is just a small part of the real world. The invisible, eternal world is what really matters. The spiritual world takes priority over the world around you. What happens in the unseen world affects the visible seen world.

The evidence of living by faith is your prayer life. Those who live by sight never bother to bow their knee in prayer. They rarely pray because they put their trust in what they can see and touch. You understand that when you pray, you release the hand of God and His invisible messengers to make a difference in the world around you.

Living by faith is trusting that what God has said, He will do.  You are always listening for His voice so you can hear and obey. You hold onto what you have heard from God and believe that He will bring it to pass. If God has said it, you believe it.

You don’t live like the rest of the world, because you know it’s not about what you can see or touch, but about your faith in Christ that matters.

Let’s look at this promise one more time.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. – 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NASB)

Confess this with me.

I live by faith and not by sight.
My focus is on the invisible kingdom of God, not what I see and touch.
I am trusting that what God has said, He will do.
I am listening for His voice and walking in obedience to Him today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Today, you have a choice. Will you live by faith, or live by sight. I am praying you live by faith.

Great reminder today! Walking by faith and not by sight. I can always tell when I’m walking by sight as it produces anxiety! In walking by faith I am more likely, through prayer to look to God and know He’s got whatever I see and He’s working out what I see that is temporal for reasons sometimes I don’t understand, I’m to trust Him that He will work all things together for good to those who love Him and are the called according to His purpose. Praying and reading His word are the powerful spiritual weapons that connect us to the One with all the answers as we walk by FAITH and not by SIGHT!

Thank you for sharing this promise today as walking by faith is the best way to go as we live in this world. #greatmessage #greatpromise
