Today’s Promise

He Delivers Me From the Enemy

Psalm 37:39-40

The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.

Have you ever felt like the enemy has you in their sights?

Ever felt like you were walking around with a spiritual target on your back. When the enemy comes, you have one you can run to and find shelter, protection, and safety.

As a Christian, your salvation is in the Lord. You know that when we die, you going to see Jesus face-to-face and enjoy the wonders of heaven for all eternity. However, sometimes, you can forget that God is your salvation today as well.

You have a stronghold when you face challenging times.

A stronghold is a fortified place of refuge. In King David’s day, there were cities with high walls and towers and a large gate entrance. When the enemy attacked, the citizens could run into the fortress for protection from the attack.

You have that strong fortress where you can take refuge when the enemy attacks you. Satan may come against you, but you have the protection of your Heavenly Father’s care. You should never fear the attack of the enemy because Jesus is your protection. All you need to is run to Him.

When you take refuge in the Lord, He promises to deliver you from the wicked and the wicked one. Satan cannot touch you as you take shelter in the stronghold of the Lord.

Today, don’t live in fear, walk in faith, knowing God is your protection.

Look at that promise one more time.

The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. – Psalm 37:39-40

Make this confession.

My salvation comes from the Lord.
I take refuge in the Name of the Lord.
He will deliver me from the enemy’s hand.
I am safe and secure because God is my protection.

In Jesus Name,
Amen
