Today’s Promise

Christmas Promises

The Greatest Christmas Promise

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ, the Lord.

Over the last week, we have looked at several promises related to the birth of Christ. Each verse revealed a different aspect of the promise of Christmas.

The greatest promise of all is found in one of the most loved and familiar verses of the Bible.

Here’s the promise.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16

God loved you and me so much that He sent his Son Jesus.

Jesus was more than a teacher, or another prophet, or even an enlightened person. Jesus was God poured out in the flesh.

No matter who you are, what you’ve done, or where you find yourself. Let me remind you today that God loves you.

Although we all love the presents, the tree, and all the trappings of Christmas, the real meaning of Christmas is God’s love.

We give gifts at Christmas because God gave the greatest gift of all – Jesus.

His love for you is more than you could ever comprehend. He loves you and will never stop loving you. Your past doesn’t matter, because God loves you today.

Look at that promise again.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. – John 3:16

Make this confession.

  • I Am loved by God.
  • His love for me is more than I can comprehend.
  • God will never stop loving me.
  • Because He loves me, He sent His Son.

In Jesus name,
Amen
