Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

Psalm 23:2 John 10:10 | 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 | Psalm 37:25 | 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.

Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow God’s word to go deep in our hearts. So let’s get started.

We began the week seeing how God leads us to place of rest and renewal.

He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. – Psalm 23:2

Make this confession.

My Great Shepherd is watching over me today.
He is leading me to a place of rest and renewal.
He is providing for my every need today.
I can rest in Him, for He cares for me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday we saw how Jesus gives you abundant life. Here’s the promise.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. – John 10:10

Confess this after me.

In Jesus Christ, I have abundant life.
Eternal, unending life when I die, and overflowing life from day to day.
He is my protection, my guide, and my provider.
Today I will live in the abundant life Jesus promised.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Wednesday we claimed the promise that God has given us divinely empowered weapons for spiritual warfare.
The promise is in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. – 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

Here is the confession.

A spiritual war is waging all around me.
Even though Satan will do everything He can to destroy me,
Jesus has given me spiritual weapons for the battle.
My weapons are divinely empowered.
I have victory over the enemy through the spiritual weapons Christ has given me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday we were reminded that God never forsakes His children.

The promise is found in Psalm 37:25

I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread. – Psalm 37:25

Confess this with Me.

Father, thank you that you are watching over me today.
I know you never forsake me and You will always be my supply.
When worry and fear come my way, remind me,
that as Your child, I can trust that you will never forsake me,
never abandon me, and you will always be by my side.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We finished out the week claiming the promise that one day Jesus will return and when He does we will meet him in the air.

Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. – 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Confess this after me.

When Christ returns, I will meet Him in the air.
Jesus will set up His eternal kingdom here on earth.
I will spend all eternity with Him on a new earth.
I look forward to the day when He returns for me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope you will be in church tomorrow fellowshipping with other believers and worshiping God together.
