Review Saturday
This Week’s Scriptures
Proverbs 10:28 | Hebrews 12:15 | Proverbs 3:6 | Psalm 145:8 | Nahum 1:7
Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.
Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week, so these promises really become part of our life. So, let’s get started.
We began the week seeing how hope brings joy.
Here’s the promise.
The hope of the righteous brings joy. – Proverbs 10:28
Make this confession.
I have joy because my hope is in the Lord.
I don’t fear tomorrow because God is in control.
I have a confident assurance that I will spend eternity in the presence of God.
My joy overflows because I hope in Him.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
On Tuesday we learned how God helps keep bitterness from becoming part of our life.
Here’s the promise.
See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled. – Hebrews 12:15
Make this confession.
With God’s grace – I will not allow bitterness to take hold of me.
With God’s grace – I forgive others the way Christ forgives me.
With God’s grace – I forgive my mistakes in the past.
With God’s grace – I’m pulling up every root of bitterness I have allowed to grow in my heart.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
On Wednesday we celebrated that God directs and makes our path straight.
Here’s the promise.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:6
Make this confession.
As I acknowledge the Lord in all my ways,
He is giving me direction and leadership.
He is removing every obstacle.
He is making my path straight and clear.
He is directing me in every decision I make today.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Remember, God always leads those who submit their lives to Him.
Thursday gave us a better understanding of the character of God.
The Lord is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness. – Psalm 145:8
Here’s the confession.
God’s grace and mercy are flowing over me today.
God is patient with me as I grow in my walk with Him.
When I sin, God is slow to anger and gives me time to repent.
God’s commitment love keeps me in close fellowship with Him.
In Jesus name,
Amen
We ended the week learning another character quality of God from a tiny book at the end of the Old Testament. God is good.
Here’s the promise.
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. – Nahum 1:7
Make this confession.
In good times and bad; God is good.
Even when I don’t understand; God is good.
When problems come; I run to God my stronghold.
When everyone else has forgotten me; God knows my name.
In Jesus Name.
Amen
Remember,
When things are going well; God is good.
When things aren’t going well; God is good.
Amid your trouble, you have a refuge and stronghold.
When you feel like everyone has forgotten you, God still knows your name.
That’s it for this week. I hope you will be in church tomorrow worshiping and hearing God’s word taught.
