Review Saturday
This Week’s Scriptures
1 Peter 5:7 | Psalm 23:4 | Psalm 37:23 | Proverbs 2:6-7 | 2 Corinthians 12:10
Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.
Each Saturday we review the promise of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our heart and life.
We began the week seeing that God loves us so much, we can place every care on Him. Here’s the promise.
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7
Make this confession.
Today I cast all my cares on Christ.
I humble myself and place my trust in Him.
I know He will carry my burdens.
Because He cares for me.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
On Tuesday, we saw that every when we may go through some scary times, there is no need to fear because God is with us.
Here’s the promise.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4
Make this confession.
I will not fear.
God is leading me through the valley of the shadows.
As the Good Shepherd, He is guiding my footsteps.
Jesus is with me, so I find rest and security in Him.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Midway through the week, we discovered that our steps are guided and ordered by the Lord.
Here’s the promise.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. – Psalm 37:23
Confess this with me:
Today, God is ordering my steps.
I am walking in the way He leads me.
He has placed me on a firm rock.
My every step is directed and secured by Him.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
On Thursday we claimed that promise that God has stored up wisdom for us.
When we walk with Him, He pours that wisdom out on us.
Here’s the promise.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. – Proverbs 2:6-7
Make this confession.
Wisdom only comes from the hand of God.
When I seek the Lord, I find wisdom.
God has wisdom stored up for me.
Wisdom is a shield about me protecting me from foolish choices.
In Jesus name,
Amen
We ended the week with a strange confession; “When we are weak, we are strong.”
It may not make sense to the world, but in the Kingdom of God, we know that God’s strength is released in us when we are weak.
Here’s the promise.
For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. – 2 Corinthians 12:10
Make This confession.
God uses weak people to do great things.
When I am weak, God is strong through me.
God can use my weakness for His glory.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Remember the quote from the great missionary Hudson Taylor?
“All God’s giants were weak mean who did great things for God because the reckoned God to be with them.”
