Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

Romans 10:17 | Isaiah 40:29 | Isaiah 62:5 | Ephesians 2:10 | Ephesians 2:4-5

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise.

Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week discovering how God’s Word builds my faith.

Here’s the promise.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. – Romans 10:17

Make this confession.

God’s word is the foundation of my faith.
My faith will grow as I read and study the Bible.
When I read the Bible, I ask God to speak to me.
I commit to spending time reading the Bible every day this week.

In Jesus name,
Amen

On Tuesday we saw how God gives us strength even when we are weary.

Here’s the promise.

He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless. – Isaiah 40:29

Make this confession.

When I am weary, God gives me strength.
When I feel powerless, He empowers me.
God is the source of my strength.
As I trust in God, He gives me strength.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Wednesday, we saw how God rejoices over us.

Here’s the promise.

For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you. – Isaiah 62:5

Make this confession.

God looks at me the way a groom looks at his new bride.
God’s love for me is beyond my ability to understand.
I will not walk in fear, shame, or regret because God loves me.
I can rejoice today because God rejoices over me.

In Jesus name,
Amen

On Thursday, we celebrated that each of us is the workmanship of God.

Here’s the promise.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10

Make this confession.

I am the handiwork of God.
He created me in His image, and I am his masterpiece.
Every day, God lines out good works for me.
I walk in those good works to bring glory and honor to Him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We concluded the week seeing how God has made us alive with Christ Jesus.

Here’s the promise.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. – Ephesians 2:4-5

Make this confession.

God has made me alive with Jesus Christ.
The power of sin has been broken.
One day I will be raised to a new life for all eternity.
I will have a new body design for living in the kingdom of God.

In Jesus name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these 5 promises have been a blessing to you. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, so I hope you will be in church, worshiping the Lord and hearing His word.

While you are at church tomorrow, tell someone about The Daily Promise help me encourage more Christians with the promises in God’s word.
