Today’s Promise

God Fights Your Battles for You

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.
Deuteronomy 20:4

God Fights for You

You never face a spiritual battle alone. Every time the enemy attacks, God is there to fight your battle for you.

As the Children of Israel prepared to enter the promised land, they knew they would face new and powerful enemies. In this promise, Moses gives them instructions on how to face the battle and prepare for war.

Moses told the people not to be afraid because they carried two secret weapons when they faced their enemies. First, God would be with them, and second, God would fight for them.

They would not enter the battle alone. God would be right there in the battle with them.

God is With You

How could they be afraid, knowing that the God who opened the Red Sea would be right there with them? They would not have to worry about winning the battle through their strength or military strategy. Since God would fight for them, He would bring victory.

Moses ends this verse with another promise. God would save them from every enemy they might encounter.

Today, you will enter into a battle. Instead of the battlefield, it may be at your office, school, or even in your home. With every physical conflict, there is a spiritual battle going on in the heavenlies. Take a moment to see the actual battle before you with your spiritual eyes.

First, don’t respond with fear or dread when a spiritual attack comes, but remember, God is with you. You have a better promise than the Children of Israel. God is not only with you; He is in you. You can never be separated from the presence of God.

Second, He will fight for you. It’s not about your strength or your ability but God’s strength and power in you. Think about this for a minute. Every time you face a spiritual enemy, you face it with God at your side, and He will fight for you.

Finally, God will save you. The battle is easier when you know the outcome. No matter how fierce the enemy is, God has promised to save you. He will not let you be defeated but will lead you to victory.

There is never a reason for fear or worry. God stands with you in every challenge and in every battle. Knowing God is with you and will save you will give you a new confidence to face any battle.

Today, you will enter into spiritual warfare. Don’t be afraid. God is with you, and He will fight for you. He will bring victory and save you.

Look at that promise again.

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. – Deuteronomy 20:4

Make these confessions.

  • Every battle I face is a spiritual battle.
  • As I face every battle, God is with me and in me.
  • It’s not about my strength but God’s strength in me.
  • God fights my battles for me and always brings me victory.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

You never face a battle alone. God is with you and fights your battles for you. He promises to save you from every enemy.
