Today’s Promise

God is Faithful and He Will do it

1 Thessalonians 5:24

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

God is Faithful

The promise of God’s faithfulness is repeated throughout scripture. The simple fact is that God is faithful. When He makes a promise, He keeps it. When He entered into a covenant with His people, He kept it.

When God made a promise that Abraham would be the father of a nation, He was faithful to bring it to pass. When God spoke to Moses and said that He would lead the people to the promised land, God was faithful. When Jesus called the disciples to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth, He was faithful to bring it to pass.

Even when we are unfaithful, God is faithful.

God is faithful to accomplish His Word in your life. God called you to a new life in Christ. He is working day by day to make you more like Jesus.

What God begins in your life, He completes. If God calls you to a ministry, passion, or position, He is faithful to fulfill that calling in your life. Sure, you have to work and be a faithful steward and do your part, but God is the one who will bring it to pass.

God never teases you.

He doesn’t place a call in your life and then refuses to bring it about. No matter what God has called you to, He will be faithful to accomplish it in your life.

God gives you the power, strength, and stamina to complete the call He has placed in your life. The pastor I grew up under, used to say, “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

What is the call God has placed in your life? Are you allowing Him to do it? Are you releasing your life into the faithful hands of God?

Look at that promise again.

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. – 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Make this confession.

  • My God is a faithful God.
  • What God begins in my life, He completes.
  • Even though I am sometimes unfaithful, God is always faithful.
  • Today, God is working to fulfill His call in my life.

In Jesus name,
Amen
