God Leads You in Making Wise Choices
Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
Psalm 25:12
Today we are talking about making wise choices. God promises to teach us how to live wisely as we put our trust in Him and listen to His Word.
Making Wise Choices
Do you ever struggle with making the right choice?
Sometimes, life’s choices are not so easy. Choices are not always black and white. Sometimes you have to choose between good and good. Often, the right choice is not always clear. Making wise choices is the pathway to success. For that to happen, you need God’s wisdom and direction.
Fear of the Lord
The starting point for making good decisions is fear of the Lord. God promises to instruct and give wisdom to those who fear Him. It doesn’t matter if it’s a big decision or a small one. If you ask, God promises to lead and instruct you.
What does it mean to fear the Lord? If God is a God of love, why should we fear Him?
To fear the Lord is recognizing Him for who He is and showing Him the reverence and respect He is due. Fearing the Lord is not cowering before him but understanding that He is the Lord God who holds eternity in His hands. It is to recognize His authority in your life and live accordingly. When you fear the Lord, you understand you are accountable to Him for how you live.
God Rewards Those Who Fear Him
God rewards those who fear Him. Those who fear the Lord receive instruction on living and making wise choices. God imparts His wisdom and guidance into your life when you fear Him. Wisdom equips you to choose wisely in life’s big and small decisions.
Sometimes the most difficult decisions are those between good and best. You need the wisdom of the Lord to discern the direction you should go. As you walk in fear of the Lord, you have the promise that He will show you the way you should go. He fills you with wisdom and understanding.
Next time you face a decision, submit your life to the Lord (fear the Lord) and ask Him for wisdom and guidance.
As you make the right choices, guided by His presence and prompting, you will find success in all your ways.
Look at that promise once again.
Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. – Psalm 25:12
Make these confessions.
- As I fear the Lord, He directs my path.
- He gives me wisdom for the choices I make today.
- Wise choices make successful paths.
- God gives me wisdom and direction as I learn to fear Him.
