Today’s Promise

God Uses Your Suffering
After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10
We all Experience Suffering
When you experience suffering, you have hope because you know God is working in your life. Through your suffering, He will strengthen and establish your faith.
No one wants to suffer, but suffering is often a part of life. We live in a fallen world, and sometimes pain comes along. God never promised we would live without suffering, but He does promise that He will use our suffering for a purpose.
Chuck Swindoll said, “The path of obedience is often marked by times of suffering and loss.”
Not Without Hope
The unbeliever goes through suffering without hope. All they can do is try and make it through it. When Christians suffer, they have hope because God will use their suffering to perfect them in Christ. You can rejoice in your suffering because you know God will use it for good in your life.
God doesn’t bring you suffering, but He does allow suffering.
God uses suffering to do four things in your life.
To Perfect You – God wants to restore what sin has taken away. He uses suffering to complete you so you can be more like Christ.
To Confirm You – This word means to “set in place or fix firmly.” Suffering confirms your faith in Christ. Faith that is untested can’t be trusted. Suffering builds your confidence in God and His care for you.
To Strengthen You – There is an old saying that says, “You will never know God is all you need until God is all you have.” You never know God is your strength until you have to call on Him. God strengthens you through your suffering to meet the demands of the day.
To Establish You – Through suffering, God sets the foundation in your life. Before a builder begins construction, he lays a foundation. The strength of the building lies in the foundation. Once tested through suffering, you will not be tossed about by everything that comes along. You are grounded in your faith in Christ.
Finally, we know suffering won’t last forever. The pain of childbirth is forgotten when a mother sees her newborn baby. Our suffering is nothing compared to the incredible glory found in Christ.
Let’s look at that promise one more time:
After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. – 1 Peter 5:10
Make these Confessions.
- My suffering won’t last forever.
- I can rejoice in my suffering because God will use it.
- He is perfecting and confirming me.
- He is strengthening me and will establish me.
- My suffering is minimal compared to the glory of knowing Christ.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
God never causes our suffering, but He can use it to test and strengthen our faith. When you go through suffering, God uses your suffering for your good and His glory.

Thank you God Jesus for loving me making me stronger through suffering.
Thank you Jesus for your Strength Love Protection and Guidance. As we keep our eyes on Jesus we may suffer but Joy comes in the morning 🙏
It is so reassuring to know that after these sufferings I now endure, I will be perfected, confirmed, strengthened and established. I am reminded that, no matter what the enemy brings for my destruction, Jesus Christ will use it/them for my ‘best’ good, and His ultimate glory. I raise a praise this morning: I AM COMING OUT LIKE FINE GOAL! Hallelujah!

Thank you Heavenly Father for never leaving me thru all the sufferings I’ve encountered! Even while serving You!
